A terrifically modern restaurant to complement the ever-expanding Hobart fine-dining scene, Smolt has a great fit-out, solid service and delicious food. The Arincini balls are so good I contemplated ordering 50 to take back to Sydney with me, and though the surrounding dishes were good, they didn't quite achieve that level of excellence that will have me raving to my... What a beautiful restaurant! We had a wonderful dinner matched with beautiful wines to our foodie content! The food was beautifully presented, fresh and an emphasis on local produce. We didn't book but we were lucky to get a very comfortable table. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and the atmosphere was great, although it could get a bit... More

We found this restaurant during the Gourmania food tour and went back for dinner on our last night. Perfect meal, friend service and reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend to others and looking forward to going back next time we visit!

We recently celebrated our daughters 21st here and despite an early hiccup, had a fabulous night. We had chosen the degustation menu for 8 and were very pleased with the varied and very delicious menu presented. The service was impeccable and staff friendly and unobtrusive (a bottle of champagne was also presented to the birthday girl..nice touch).

This place is in the popular area of Salamanca. The walls and floor are hard and noise bounces around. Together with the loud music it doesn't lend for an intimate get together. The food is plane and overpriced. There is nothing on the menu that you couldn't knock up at home in 30 minutes. There are better restaurants close by.

How exciting to eat in a beautiful restaurant environment offering so many delicious breakfast options. From rosemary/potato French toast, pan fried sardines/poached eggs, the taste sensation of baked eggs/ 'lick the plate' Romesco sauce/sausage/silverbeet/morcilla crumb/parmesan with ciabatta toast on the side to parmesan confit mushrooms. There were so many highlights from this inspiring breakfast menu -you will wish you'd found... More
