Tried to go today after recommendation from a work colleague... But, after hiking up the stairs/hill, discovered it is closed until 31 July... So disappointed, was really looking forward to a great pie!!

They do have several other stores in Hobart, but we kept returning to the one in Battery Point. They have a rather impressive range of sweets and savoury foods for you to eat-in or takeaway, but note they charge slightly more for eat-in. They also serve up a pretty nice coffee for those who like a good one. It can... More

The look and presentation, and taste of their savoury bites, and cakes is breathtaking. I could go back every day!

We visited here with our two sons (2.5 & 7 months) for breakfast and the service was amazing. They promptly got us a high chair, were quick to take our order, and didn't seem fased when our toddler spilt his water all over himself. They just got us extra napkins instead. The food: the bakery products were so great I... More

One of Hobart's best places for brunch/lunch. Lovely coffee, breakfast and sweets. Great service and freshly squeezed juice options. Always quite busy, with limited outdoor seating options.

Great little bakery/cafe! Really great menu suited to the cold winter weather! Great atmosphere and friendly staff! We had to wait a few minutes for a table but worth it! Great for lunch or afternoon tea or both, which is what we did! The desserts were AMAZING!!!

Visited this little gem several times and it's always a pleaser for quality food, friendly service, great ambience and the right price. They offer a great selection of breads, sandwiches, pies, pastries and salads. Today's soup - Thai chicken and coconut - was soo good it was like eating a big warm hug!

Beautiful lunch and great coffee. This place is a little gem. It is definitely the best food I have found in Hobart and very reasonable priced.

We popped in for takeaway items on the Sunday morning - and it was crazy busy - but were still served promptly. We returned on Monday morning to have breakfast inside - and was well worth it. Delicious food, reasonably priced, and very efficient and friendly service. Totally recommend the Berliners.
