YUMO!!!

Scrumptious pies especially the lamb & Rosemary one. Great coffee & really yummy pastries. All in all a must place to visit. Pity we found it on our last day. A cute little cafe in Battery Point.

What a fabulous "proper" old bakery, with bread, pies, pasties and cakes made like they should be... :-) Absolutely loved it... not inexpensive, but well worth it... HIGHLY recommended!

I have been a here a couple of times both for take away and eat in. The food is good but not exceptional, althoug the portions are huge, so it certainly is good value. Strangeley enough (for a bakery) they dont do toast. Service can be a bit slow when it is full. However, it still remains a family favourite.

While staying in Hobart we visited this cafe a few times and the breakfast menu was different and so delicious, comparing with other cafes it was reasonably priced. All well cooked and presented. Ideal for an early morning before visiting Salamanca market on a Saturday Elizabeth, Notts

Great local spot in Battery Point. Excellent coffee, classic Hobart feel. Must do if you like pastries or desserts. We will be back.

We went here as soon as we arrived in Hobart as we were staying right next to it. It's good food and a nice setting (good to sit outside on the pavement weather permitting but lots of good indoors seating as well). Not very many vegetarian options and the ones they do have mostly include goats cheese. The sweet pastries... More

Good service, good food, good prices. Always busy due to the above, but staff always perform well with a full house. One of my favourites in Hobart

Lovely food in a bakery style setting. Service is quite slow so don't go if you are in a hurry (or grab take out instead). Everything on the menu is tempting and much of it can be viewed In The display cabinets before taking a seat. A bit off the beaten track but a busy little venue.

Our return visit to Jackman and McRoss was great. There is so much to choose from, freshly made baguettes, delicious pies, wonderful savoury creations, and wonderful cakesa and tarts. The location in battery post is a lovely stroll from Salamanca. Don't miss it!

Located in historic Battery Point, this outstanding bakery and patisserie serves a huge range of sweet and savoury pastries, delicious bread reminiscent of Europe, and gourmet pies and sausage rolls to die for. Delicious fresh local berries featured in many of the sweet pastries, some of the which are works of art. Fresh local ingredients predominate. We had memorable visits... More
