A local friend recommended this India restaurant for a birthday celebration. It located around Salamanca Market area in Hobart and very easy to walk from our hotel. Hotel is big and well presented. Staff are very friendly and helpful. we ordered entree to share and two mains with some garlic and plan nan bread. All plates are warm and well... More

After reading the review we we decided to give the place a go but we were to be disappointed. We ordered dishes and asked for mild, the waitress told us it was all mild, this is not true! After a couple of mouthfulls of food my eyes were watering and throat burning. The only mild dish was the bottle of... More

Very nice meal and a really good price. Both the tummy and the wallet were well satisfied. We had the goat curry and butter chicken which were both exceptional. The naan bread was up there with the best we have had. The atmosphere was ok. One of the waiters was great and attentive but one of the guys basically did... More

We were welcomed to sit anywhere and asked if we would like a drink to which my partner asked if the scotch on the menu was Jack Daniels. The waitress answered 'it is like a lime and soda' obviously not understanding what we were asking. My partner asked for a jim beam and coke instead and received a shot of... More

I have been here a few times and love this restaurant. It's good Indian food in a lovely part of Hobart.

Service was friendly but a little bit disorganised given that there were not many people at the restaurant. I went there as a solo diner in the middle of winter. The food was gorgeous! I had the chicken and chickpea curry and it was superb!

First, some disclaimers. I'm from the UK, home of 6000 'proper curry houses; Annapurna is nothing like them. I've also travelled extensively in India; Annapurna doesn't serve 'real' Indian food. The onion bhajis are actually fried onion rings. The chicken tikka doesn't arrive sizzling, and has none of the wonderful char flavour one would expect of a tandoor oven. But... More

Greatly disappointed! I had a beef vindaloo... The beef was cut inconsistently - one was so large I needed to take a fork and knife to it! The beet was fatty and griscley.... Just awful! The sauce was ok, so the only saving was to pour the sauce over the rice after I ditched the mean. The naan is quite... More
