We had chicken tandori. Nice with the great mint sauce. Beef korma was ok but the meat tasted like it had been pre stewed and lots fatty bits, wasnt happy with that al all. The garlic nann bread fantastic soft and delightful. Tandori mushrooms great. All in all probably would not order here again ....

What a find! On a cold damp night, we reckoned this bright warm establishment looked just right for a wet and hungry couple. We weren't disappointed. She chose the chicken tikka marsala and I the baltiwala lamb. Such a feast of intricate Indian flavours, aided by a modest and modestly priced local cab merlot, and all served expeditiously with pleasant... More

This is probably one of the finest Indian restaurants i have ever been too! Not only the food was fabulous but the service was superb, with the wait staff being so welcoming and friendly letting us sit where we prefered and while ordering suggesting us curries that would enlighten our taste buds. Not just me but my whole family enjoyed... More

We attended here for a birthday gathering for a dozen or so people We were met by a surly staff member who checked his bookings register for us Some minutes later we were shown to our table without the slightest hint of a welcome. Once all guests had arrived our orders were duly taken. Food started arriving about fifteen minUtes... More

It was a Saturday night when we visited and the restaurant was buzzing with a crowd of happy customers and the fragrant smell of Indian cooking was in the air. We were a table of eight and were comfortably seated with one plush sofa seat for four against a wall and the other free side had four padded chairs. The... More

I cannot write how wonderful Annapurna is. We went on our last trip to Tassie, and I wondered if it would be different. It did it disappoint - huge portions, nice staff and all served in a nice clean restaurant. Top marks Annapurna! Next time in Tassie, I'll be sure to return.

The food at Annapurna at Salamanca Place was very disappointing compared with my last visit several years ago (to the Elizabeth Street restaurant). The samosas were very dry and tasteless. In the case of the chicken vindaloo, the sauce had obviously been added just before serving, resulting in no infusion of flavour into the flesh. At least the wine corkage... More

I went to experience Afghan food but found it was purely an Indian restaurant - but a very good one at that. I had the Thali - which is a good measure of an Indian restaurant - and found everything of high quality and authentic flavour. The paneer was especially good and some Indian beer was the perfect accompaniment. Service... More

Wandering around Salamanca found this attractive restaurant where amongst other delicious dishes was a scallop curry. The helpful lass serving us, informed that the recipe was from her home in Southern India. The sauce was rich, spicy without overpowering the scallops. I would also recommend this home of elegant cuisine for its friendly female staff and attractive surroundings.
