After a purchasing a few coffees, sitting there for about half an hour and declining a second round of coffees, we were politely asked to move to the library foyer. There was no line of people waiting for tables and this was between 10-10.30am so no lunch crowd either. This was a quiet meeting with a client, I was embarrassed... More

Captive market in the library. Wifi comes from the library, so I suggest eating / drinking elsewhere and sitting in the library to access wifi. Coffee is very average, and as soon as I was done, I was asked if I want to order anything. I said 'no thanks' as I finished reading my email on my tablet, intending to... More

I have enjoyed numerous great coffees and lunches here over a couple of years. Every time the coffee is of excellent standard and Zest obviously prides itself on its consistently great coffee. In my experiences I have always found the wait staff and owner attentive and friendly, often engaging in fun, friendly conversation. The floor-ceiling windows help give the cafe... More

I've been there a couple of times with my husband before for a quick bite, was ok (just ok, nothing spectacular). Today I met my girlfriend who was in the library, so we decided to stay there for a cup of coffee and a chat. When I said that at the moment I feel only like coffee, the owner pointed... More

After a day of shopping this was a nice spot to finish, the coffee was nice, the Melting Moment was delicious & the service friendly.

Being in the library building the café has potential customers passing constantly. We found the coffee average and the service the same. Although we did not partake of the food, what was on display looked average as well. I would find somewhere else to give my custom next time in Hobart, I'm sure it will be more appreciated.

The chai milkshake is a hit. Great lunch fare and very reasonably priced. Borrow a book and start reading!

This overpriced little gem is a waste of space. The owner is extremely rude and inconsiderate, the food and coffee are nothing special and did I mention overpriced for the quality. I think they rate themselves a little high. Don't bother going there. There is plenty available elsewhere that is much more satisfying and within walking distance.

I dropped into this cafe after a library visit, on a very hot day, to have lunch. It was a cool airy place to sit. The salad wrap I had was fresh and tasty. Because I am dairy intolerant the manager made me a soy milkshake. Yummmm. Surprisingly good. Glass windows make it a good place to sit and watch... More

I did not read any reviews for this cafe before going and they don't seem to be to positive, but I will say that I had a very nice experience. I was only in Tasmania for the weekend and we missed our hostel's free breakfast so we needed something to have for breakfast/brunch/lunch. This was one of the first cafes... More
