We ordered curry chicken and lamb korma. The chicken dish sat under about 2cm of red oily fat which was very off putting. It didn't even seem to mix back in when the sauce was stirred. The korma was OK but not fabulous by any means. Naan was alright, lacking flavor. Rice comes in excess. A big tub per curry... More

This Indian restaurant certainly did not disappoint. The meals were very tasty and the service was good. We were served quickly while not feeling rushed, we will definitely be back to dine again.

We stayed across the street at the Best Western Hobart and passed by this restaurant a few times a day. We went for dinner and had the samosa, paneer, and chicken korma. The samosas were huge and very good and the paneer was nice as well. I was a bit disappointed with the chicken korma as it was just ok... More

We had previously been to Annapurna in North Hobart, but as we were staying in Battery Point this time, we decided to give Tandoor and Curry House a go. We called to make a booking mid afternoon and although no-one answered the phone, we turned up at 7pm to give it a go. The welcome we received was genuine, warm... More

After arriving on a late delayed flight into Hobart we stumbled across this place and despite them closing the doors were more than happy to organise some take away for us. When we opened it up we were literally blown away by how great the food was, the curry and the naan all tasted amazing. I think we will eat... More

Friday night silliness... I was looking through Trip Advisor for a good curry in Hobart that was in the Entertainment book. Somehow I thought I had ordered from Taj Palace (already used our Annapurna voucher) and when I got there they gave me the bad news. After a quick check I realised that I had ordered from Tandoor and Curry... More

I had read good reviews so went with some expectations. I was delighted to find they were exceeded. The garlic naan comes highly recommended, as do the samosas - from my taste buds anyway! The staff we saw were friendly, but also knew their stuff, important as I have a couple of serious allergies, and me dying would have put... More

My colleagues and I order the "Maharaja Banquet". It really was fit for a Maharaja. Huge and delicious Entree portions to start with, followed by an even amazing mains. Madras Prawns were spicy and yummy. For dessert we had the Pasitashio Kulfi, which really hit the spot. Banquet had flexibility in the choice of dishes we could order for the... More

The food tasted amazing! The staff were very good but I think our order must have got lost in the process. They soon sorted it out and it was worth the wait. Also, very reasonably priced. I'd definitely go back again.
