Starter of breaded scallops ...... buy why serve in a paper cone on some useless wooden gizmo ? I sent it back and asked for the contents to be placed on a proper plate. Looked 10 times more appetising Mains OK Dessert - panna cotta .... is Italian for boiled cream, so should be "deliciously light and creamy" Mine was... More

Really great seafood bistro style restaurant with lovely young staff who really know their stuff and take good care of their guests. Its not cheap- but OK two glasses of wine, oysters and main at $67 was fair. Singles were placed at the bar to eat and it became a fun place for travel conversations . Make sure you book... More

Recently went to this restaurant after a big sightseeing day and wanted somewhere close to where we were staying so turned up hoping to get a table. Staff were friendly and sat us at the bar ensuring it would not take long. Within five minutes we were seated and given menus. This restaurant is decked out in a nautical theme... More

This restaurant is in the harbour area and offered an excellent range of seafood dishes. The Smokey Seafood Stew I had was a gee perps portion containing prawns, white fish, scallops. And much more in a rich tomato based sauce. Delicious! My wife ate a smaller portion of prawns with ginger sauce and a small salad. Great value. Friendly and... More

This restaurant is in a great location close to accommodation and the warf. The staff were very friendly and the service excellent with the food being served rather quickly. Seating was a little cramped and bookings are suggested.

Our visit to the Drunken Admiral came highly recommended and we weren't disappointed. The place is decked out (pardon the pun) in all things sea and ship related. We went on a Saturday night - it got pretty busy so you might want to think about booking ahead. The staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was welcoming and... More

Made a booking and had a wonderful table for two in a small nook in the restaurant. Service was excellent but the food was a bit disappointing. Still worth trying but our diner at fish frenzy the night before was much better.

The drunken admiral is a great seafood restaurant, with value for money. Not only does it have many seafood based meals, there is also food for vegetarians and delicious desserts. When you walk into the restaurant, you feel transported, as if you have just stepped aboard a ship. It has great atmosphere, many dining rooms which are not too crowded... More
