Take a stroll around the waterfront away from the crowds of Salamanca and you will find this wonderful restaurant on the other side of the cove. It has a great seafood menu and reasonable prices. Ambiance is unique and the service is excellent. You may need to book to ensure you get a place.

This was our first dinner out in Hobart and had been highly recommended by the guy we picked our rental car up from. My husband and I both found the service excellent and the food was really good quality and was quick to the table. This resturant is right on the harbor so it is in a great spot. I... More

Fabulous atmosphere and decor throughout this restaurant. Our group of 4 ate there twice as it was so much fun. Book early to secure the seating time you would like. we took the 8pm so we didn't have to rush to finish for others :) beautiful seafood fare, fresh and creatively presented. Some had the Tassie scallops that you literally... More

We had been told the seafood was very good here so thought we'd give it a try. The squid was very dark and brown in places and very tough - typically not fresh. The prawns and scallops they use are imported frozen seafood - definitely not Tasmanian scallops and the size and quality of the seafood was poor for the... More

We couldn't decide whether to go to the Drunken Admiral or Muirs. We ended up at the drunken admiral which looks like a pirate ship inside. We didn't have a booking but they squeezed us in. Went all out and had the seafood platter which was delicious we are the whole thing although was a struggle. Didn't like the marinated... More

Great food and good service but a little bit too pricey if you were watching your budget. Would definitely go back there again.

We arrived after an evening concert about 9.30 pm, and the staff were most pleasant and welcoming. Served immediately though the place was quite busy. We ordered 5 entrees .....the olives in a light tempura were delicious, the scallops on a skewer were fresh though very small and would have tasted finer with the roe removed and oysters were fresh.... This was a fun place to have dinner while we were in Hobart with some friends. It's not much to look at from the outside but when you walk in, you are taken into another world. You eat in areas of a ship and all the decorations and windows make you feel like you're visiting an old world time. The... More
