The food was great, the style of the restaurant was wonderful, the staff seemed to be rushed which made us and other customers think that they were a little rude. It was nothing major but I think if there was at least one more staff member working it would have freed staff up to attend to customer a little better.... More

You have to be drunk in order to think the overpriced meals are worth it. Fortunately for them the waitstaff were very good/attentive and the wine menu was large. Maybe that is the point. We had the hot rock salmon which is meant to be one of their popular dishes. It was a 4/10 at best. The fried fish platter... More

My wife and I were drawn back to the Drunken Admiral earlier this week with the expectation of enjoying more delicious seafood. Simply superb is a more apt description of the wonderful fresh Tasmanian scallops served on skewers in a light crisp tempura batter. My wife and I were in total agreement that the scallops were absolutely mouth watering. Our... More

My hubby is an ex sailor (Master Mariner) and we were in Hobart for the AIMS conference. And when i saw the name from outside I thought it was only fitting that we went to this restaurant. From the outside its not too much of a give way what sort of a restaurant you are entering into. Once you are... More

We ate here during a long weekend in Hobart. We were sat at the '1st Class Mess' which was a little cubby area for 2, it was very romantic and quiet and we were very happy with it! Food was delicious - really good seafood with a bit of an asian twist in places. All really well cooked and delicious.... More

Great place for a fun night out with friends. Kids are made very welcome. The food was good and plentiful and the staff seemed to be having fun whilst also offering fast and helpful service.
