Wow, this place was awesome, it was set out very quirky (it even had a wall made from milk cartons). We went with a group of friends and everyone's meals came out looking very unique and delish. I have to say that the menu was a little bit confusing though, you weren't actually quite sure how big the meals would... More

I've been dining here for about a year now, with my wife, and she would watch as this young incredibly gifted apprentice, gracefully maneuver around the kitchen, whilst looking like a young Marco Pierre White. So where on gods green earth has he gone?!?!

Great find...just round the corner from our hotel. Great atmosphere, great food, good staff. We returned for breakfast and tried to book for the Sat eve but unfortunately couldn't get in! Menu is different from the norm and tastes fab.....breakfast was spicy beans with patched egg and advocado...lovely!

I joined recently a group of 12 friends in a comfy corner. I enjoyed various beers from the impressive selection. We ordered 2 of everything from their tapas menu. The pork croquettes were outstanding. Was cold outside but lovely and warm inside. Some of the decor was a bit strange in an otherwise funky converted garage / warehouse. Great place... More

We visited on a cold rainy night and the warm welcome and atmosphere really helped shake off the dreary night outside. The staff couldn't do enough to help and had great knowledge of the available food and drink which was nice. The dining area is really well thought out and situated away from the more noisy bar area with the... More

I'll give them that: the atmosphere is cool, the decor is interesting, people are enjoying themselves. For a drink with friends, it is a great place. But for dinner, it is mediocre at best. The cuisine is interesting and creative, but it just doesn't taste that great. And it is grossly overpriced for both the ridiculously small portions and the... More

I discovered Westend by accident and what a pleasant surprise it was. The restaurant space is an old converted warehouse space and it had a Melbourne chic vibe to it. They have 2 wood heaters which heat the whole space up - it was nice to be able to feel warm in Hobart's winter! The service was great. Will return.

A friend who knows restaurants highly recommended Pumphouse. The night started well - the maitre'd quickly found us a table in the front area . . . then things started to slide . . . It seemed like forever until we were finally given menus and were able to order drinks and a starter. These arrived as they should. (The... More

Came here for lunch. We ordered a few different plates to share. The food was good, but not amazing. The service was excellent however. This place has a great vibe and feel about it, a lot of work has been put into this place and they should be very proud. Will be back.

I love the atmosphere in this place. The fireplaces, the business and the way such a huge space is made to feel cosy and inviting! We came for dinner and the food and service were amazing. The entrees were all generous serves and delicious. My husband and I shared the goat - yum! Our son enjoyed the venison which was... More
