A real find

We really enjoyed our meal here - the concept of half and full plate is a winner. It was a shame that we were only staying in Hobart for one night as it would have been a treat to work our way through the menu! Good wine last - wonderful desserts. Go there!

Love this funky cool bar. Great for micro brews from throughout Australia. We enjoyed some Tassie Pinot. Will be back for more drinks on next visit.

Good selection of excellent craft beers. Had veggie burger which was great ($15) & loved the blues and rock music which was not loud so people can talk without shouting. Fantastic place.

Nothing will take me back to Preachers again for any of their food or drink. I will never eat oysters again, after that harrowing experience. They gave me my money back but destroyed my love of oyster. Also my future oyster days are over no thanks to this experience.. Also manage Ange never returned my call. So Hi Ange-can we... More

A great little eccentric pub in Battery Point! Loved the atmosphere and the beer and cider list is fantastic. We were stunned to have the best burger and chips, at very reasonable prices! The staff were also accommodating and very friendly. We just wish we had of gone on a nicer day so we could have enjoyed their awesome beer... More

With what I would call an eccentric beer garden (hey, they have bus parked in there!) we enjoyed this bar so much we went back for seconds! There was a good beer list, though limited taps (8 from memory. There are board games for people to enjoy while having a drink and also the food was good (we had oysters... More

Only spending a few days on Hobart clearly I have not been to every bar... But this was the best! Great vibe. Quirky use of the old bus. Great local ciders and good snacks! We had to come back the next day or was so good

The pub is lovely and the beer garden is fab, has a real student feel and it's a must to have a photo driving the bus! They only really serve burgers but it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Beer is quite expensive but definitely recommend a visit to this little gem - a little bit out... More

We went to Preachers for a quick lunch during a day of sightseeing in Hobart. A close walk from our accommodation at the St Ives Apartments, it was a perfect spot on a sunny day. Both of us decided on the beef burger, accompanying it with a glass of pino gris and a cider. The burger was huge and filled... More
