Great place for a relaxing beer!

We've been to Preachers on a few visits down to Hobart. What a great little concept for a bar! The open space is great if you have some kiddies in tow (as we did) and the fact you can sit and enjoy chatting with some mates over some quality beers or wines is awesome. The Tassie beers, ciders and wines here are really good and the outdoor beer garden is relaxed and quirky. There is an old bus to sit in, bean bags and benches with fairy lights. A nice place for a few beers and a chill out.

We dropped by twice (on our way to and from dinner). Preachers has a great vibe, cold beer and cider on tap and wonderful jazz and blues music piping through the venue. Worth a visit for an afternoon brew or late night tipple. Highly recommend.

Bit intimidating for we middle-aged folk (!), seems to be a popular hangout for local hip young people. Fantastic local beer and cider selections at the bar and love the seating in the bus out back.

A taste of Austin in central Hobart. This cute and quirky bar makes you feel at home with the locals. The outdoor beer garden was magnificent in the sunny Saturday afternoon. An old school bus furnishing the lot added to the experience.

Staying in Salamanca, we walked by this pub numerous times and it was always busy. We went for lunch one day and had a few drinks and got a burger each. The burgers were great and huge! There was also a selection of games you could play - like jenga, cards against humanity etc. Worth a visit and some food.... More

Great outdoor beer garden, lovely spot to sit for a few hours in the sun. Had some nice hard lemonade. The gas failed while we were there so we couldn't order dinner. Also the staff were a little slow at the bar. Very relaxed local vibe.

We found this place by accident. What a great place to get away from the madness of Salamanca and all the tourist traps and just relax in a courtyard with Astro turf :) Best place to go on a nice sunny day as a lot of the other bars in Hobart seem to be indoor :)

Great little pub. Large beer garden that was still a bit chilly in January but settled into a cosy little lounge with a gas fire in the very nice fireplace. Also very delicious chips.
