The sign downstairs points to the restaurant above at the end of the arcade. From our vantage point it looked deserted, so what a pleasant surprise to find a small cosy restaurant with delightful staff. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was delicious and plentiful.

First visit to this restaurant. We couldn't get into Dark Mofo due to its success and long lines and this restaurant is right in middle of Salamanca, upstairs, so convenient. What a great find. There were 8 and we didn't have a booking. We were seated quickly and although drink service was very slow, they were unexpectedly busy. We all... More

I love Suwan. The customer service has always been exceptional and the food has always been great. I have been several times, with my partner and with a group of friends, and never had issues except for the fact that the tables are a little too close together.

Small restaurant hidden in the midst of the Salamanca bars and restaurants. Convenient for me as I was able to takeaway my order. Seating is also available. I had Prawn with chili and Basil accompanied by steamed jasmine rice. Dish was yummy and had the chili punch. Prawns were large, extra fresh and juicy. Portion was also great including lots... More

the service was friendly and well timed . the food was good but not exceptional. the setting ok but bland despite being inside one of the old salamanca custom buildings. we were there on a quiet night ,only 2 other tables occupied but i could see if busy the tables were very close to one another so privacy and noise... Ate at Suwan Thai in Salamanca last night - a group of three of us. I've read bad reviews about the service but ours was fine. What the restaurant might lack in physical ambience is well and truly excused by the fantastic meal so anything else pales into insignificance. We started with the mixed entrée - spring rolls, thai fish... More

We walked from our hotel (Grand Chancellor) to the Salmanca area to indulge our caring for a Thai food lunch. After passing many darling sidewalk cafes and bistro style eateries we entered the arcade and took the elevator to the first floor to Suwan Thai. Passing through the casual outdoor area we entered the restaurant. Lunchtime (12:30 pm) and not... More

We had a very enjoyable evening here. The food was absolutely delicious and looked amazing on the plate. Everyone was happy with their meal. The service was a little slow but not too bad. Desert wasn't that great, so focus on entree and main.

Whoever is in the kitchen is a freaking genius. I have travel to Thailand many times and eaten at dozens of Thai resturants outside of Thailand. This food is some of the best I have had. Then there is the other side. The service was blunt verging on rude. I was sat in a thourfare and the waitresses banged my... More

We dined here on a Wednesday evening and was suprised to find it so busy! Nicely laid out restaurant with a good atmosphere. Shared the pork spring rolls to start which were small but enjoyable. For main I got the chicken green curry and coconut rice. It was delicious, particularly the rice! There is a good wine list, although you... More
