Liked: Pizza Mafiosi. It was delicious although the jalapenos made it slightly hot. Disliked: The pasta gamberi was too salty with anchovies and pancetta which overpowered the prawns in the dish. Place was terribly noisy and nearly impossible to talk even to the person sitting right next to you. The owner admitted so and said that some renovations would soon... More

I unfortunately must agree with the previous review. We ordered beef cheek and a risotto. The risotto sat high in a firm pile of rice on my plate - certainly not what I was expecting. The flavours, although pleasant, did not cover for the overcooked rice and lack of creaminess. It was unfortunately stodgy. The beef cheek was served without... More

Solo Pasta is an institution... if you ask other people. I went with a group of six without a reservation and the place was PACKED! Anyone would think this was Hobart's hottest dining spot, but when the food finally came I was very disappointed. I went with regulars visitors, so I was waiting for one of them to say, "This... I have dined and bought takeout pizzas many times and I have always been extremely happy with their service! The flavours and servings have always been generous and well priced in accordance. Always recommended to my friends & family.

Ate here with my 11 year old son who pronounced their pizza as 'the best I have ever tasted'. And he has tried more than a few. Personally had a nice risotto although slightly over salted for me. Busy restaurant and noisy (in a nice way) so best for families and groups.

We tried this restaurant due to its close locality to our Motel and recommendations on Trip Advisor and wow we weren't wrong. They managed to fit us in without a booking on what appeared a busy Sunday night and the food and service were wonderful.

This is a warm and busy place that does all the Italian basics well. It would be easy for these guys to take their market for granted and churn out the meals with a casual and indifferent service but nothing could be further from the experience we had on a frantic Friday night without a booking. It was challenging to... More
