We have eaten here once before and were very keen to revisit what was a great experience. Unfortunately, this visit didn't come close to our first taste of the restaurant. This was a standout experience in Hobart. We took the advice of the staff in our wine selection and every wine was a winner. The food was sublime. Even the handsoap in the bathroom was fabulous! Highly recommended.

The staff were lovely. The food was imaginative with lovely flavour combinations that highlighted the local wares. Sake matching was also great (chilled, not warm), with each one very different from the other - the 1999 Inoue Gomei 'Biden' being my favourite. Highly recommend.

Hard to imagine paying about $350 for a meal for two with a reasonable wine ($90`s) means a small meal uncomfortable school high chairs and eating with people either side talking in each ear....but maybe I am too old for this. Thinks started well with an understated street presence.. so much so that we almost missed the front door in the dark and gloomy night, but this was part of the fun and we found ourselves peering around the entrance precipice with intrigue and interest.. passing over the threshold we found ourselves inside a food theatre.. low light... and sooooo quiet...... Heard fabulous review of the restaurant. Wonderful service. Lovely fresh produce - we found the servings small despite being 5 course degustation meal. The place was very industrial chic looking but we felt slightly claustrophobic with no windows and dark walls. Lovely tables and chairs though. It was a nice experience

WOW... The factor is there... first of all ... There is no pounding noise!!!!! That is refreshing!!! So often the noise of pounding music spoils the meal... There is a sense of hushed theatre here.. But not intimidating... Just right. The welcome and the service ... Perfect... Like the place ... A little understated... But a poin! The food... Well!!!!!!!... More
