Lovely location tucked away in Salamanca Arts Centre, was the perfect farewell to Hobart before departing for the east coast. Get in early to get a table! Delicious scrambled eggs and the rye toast just topped it off- avoid the tourist traps and visit this value for money, quality cafe.

We had to wait a short while for a table on a busy Monday morning. I had chosen this little cafe because I had heard [and read on Tripadvisor] that the coffee was good. This proved to be correct and it was the best coffee we had on our stay in Hobart. An added bonus was that we had a... More

Ate scrambled eggs, fresh local apple juice, breakfast trifle of grains, seeds, yoghurt and seasonal Tassie fruits. All delicious and brilliant coffee.

A great little cafe in Salamanca. Lovely meals, vegan and vego options and great service. Of all the cafes around the area this is the best!

Hidden away from busy tourist traffic around Salamanca Place, this gem of a restaurant has an outstanding breakfast lunch menu including scrambled eggs on toasted sour dough bread. We discovered this place while wandering Hobart's Saturday market, looking for quieter place to sit down and eat. The extremely busy staff managed to be polite and found us a table followed... More

Supposedly the best scrambled eggs in Hobart? Not in our experience- too runny and flowing off the plate with no seasoning. The toast was nice but the eggs ruined it all. The coffee was bitter and disappointing- not our best experience.

My husband read a review elsewhere recommending the scrambled eggs at this hidden cafe. They were certainly worth the hunt: lovely creamy texture and a generous serve on very tasty sourdough toast. Husband had the beans which still had some nice texture, and tasty flavour- not just a chilli hit. Coffee was pretty good too, although you should know in... More

My partner is so partial to a particular pickle on a particularly tasty sandwich (leg ham, farmhouse cheddar on home-made bread) that she insists on returning to Tricycle every time we are in Hobart. Not that I need convincing. My favourite is a spicy baked eggs, or their home-made muffins, or in fact, anything on their menu (not partial to... More

My wife who had been there before took me for breakfast. She is in love with the baked eggs. The beans were great. This is place that is in the arcade and can be a peaceful solitude while having coffee and breakie on a winters morning.
