Amazing cafe

Saw this cafe recommended on line. About a 15min walk from the city in West Hobart. I purchased a takeaway chai latte and it was divine; obviously a "proper" homemade chai, not the overly sugared/sweet powdered mix I'm served at other establishments. Lots of lovely spices, topped off with a swirl of honey. Delicious. Can't comment on the food as I didn't have any but service was quick and efficient and the café had a warm... More

Pigeon hole cafe is a tiny place and fills up quickly, and for good reason. They source bread from their sister eponymous bakery and use fresh local ingredients to produce on-trend dishes with daily specials. The food is tasty, interesting and delicious.

Had also eaten so had a lot of chai which was stylistic served in this hip place but worn made with leaf tea was a bit weak. The flavour was good though and perhaps it was a bit my fault for drinking it too quickly

This venue was busy but we managed to get a table in this wonderfully appealing and bustling cafe. My wife selected from the special's board and was delighted with both the flavour and presentation of her selection which was the "pork and fennel meatballs". I had the egg and jamon choice and it was very enjoyable indeed. The meals were... More

Cute little produce driven cafe in west hobart. Service is swift and caring. I enjoyed the soft baked eggs with jamon served with toasted crusty sourdough. A hit on a very cold day. Old pages of the mercury newspaper adorn the toilet walls which make an interesting read. There are house also made treats to take home.

Popped in for a quick snack while attending a workshop near bye. The bruschetta and coffee took a little while to arrive as the place was absolutely packed with happy customers. While I waited I noticed staff providing very good service to arriving and departing customers, all of whom seemed very happy. Next time I will eat there.

My teenage daughter and I popped in for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The usual bustle had died down by then and we had no problem getting a seat. I had a latte and Bea had a hot salted caramel, which I ended up wishing I had ordered --- quite simply heaven in a cup! There was a... More

Came here late Friday afternoon for lunch, ordered chicken liver parfait, meatballs, and the baked eggs. Loved the generous slices of really tasty bread that were served with the mains. The kale was super fresh. And they made their own pickles.

We have heard so much about this place we finally decided to check it out, but we won't be hurrying back. The menu is quite small, with mostly non-traditional choices for brunch. We ordered some baked eggs with jamon and a croque monsieur with coffees (probably the most traditional items on offer). The coffee was a tad burnt, the eggs... More
