Amazingly friendly cafe!

Our first food stop in Hobart was Pigeon Hole Cafe. Obviously a favourite with tourists and locals alike, the small space was heaving when we arrived. The amazingly friendly staff were fantastic and we appreciated them fitting us onto a share table in the back area. We had baked eggs and the... read more

This a very lovely cafe with fantastic coffee and very friendly staff. It is fairly small - so is a bit packed. The menu is limited but what they do provide is just fantastic. Do not expect to find the standard bacon and eggs here - this is more jamon kind of place.

Pigeon Whole Bakers is a bakery in the heart of Hobart specialising in organic flour products - breads, buns and the like. It is not a cafe or restaurant. We purchased 6 hot cross buns before asking the price - OVER $14.00. What? Are there gold nuggets inside? I was floored by the cost but my daughter insisted on paying.... More

Homely style cafe serves up great coffee, the milk based supersede the blacks here. Food is creative especially for such a small space! I had the poached fruit crumble and the croque monsoir and both were exceptional! Highly reccomend this cafe, a must try when in Hobart!

This quaint little place in West Hobart does an outstanding lunch. Try the toasted beef piadina. Friendly and helpful service.

This cafe can't cope with a full house. We arrived at 12.30 and waited half an hour for a bowl of soup. When it didn't come we left and went elsewhere. More staff required.

My partner and I stopped for breakfast. I had delicious homemade baked beans on some kind of chunky bread with grated cheese (I neglected to write down the fancy name for this) and he had creamed rice with marinated strawberries and little flecks of basil through it. The basil blew his mind- he still raves about it. I believe a... More

OMG, we just had a fabulous lunch at this little gem. I'm from Perth and stumbled on this place via a recommendation from our hotel. The food was wonderful, very fresh and was served quickly and with a smile. Apparently, most of the fruit and veg comes from Weston farm, which is the owners property. The lady behind the counter mentioned... More

I loved my lunch at pigeon hole. It's got fresh, delicious food, and it's small and quaint, with friendly (although not the most attentive) service. I also love that it does smaller portions than most places so I didn't leave feeling stuffed.
