We booked here for New Years Eve.....it turned out to be grossly overpriced for substandard food and average (at best) service.

My husband and I dined here for ‘our’ NYE (due to work commitments the night before). A relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff greeted us. We started with a drink in the bar area (where other guests were relaxing/taking a nap) before being seated by the window in the restaurant to enjoy the views. The wine list had a good range... Had Xmas dinner here on a rainy night. They were busy and bookings were essential, so I don't know why the outdoor area was closed... it was undercover and they had heaters. Food was really good, and fast service. Bar area was disappointing... offered table service then ignored, had to go to the bar for second drink. My wife's cocktail... More

Had dinner last night. My main meal was one of the worst meals I have had. The veal cutlet was tasteless and uninviting, my husband can eat anything, but tasting my meal, he pushed it away. However the meal he and his sister had were much more appealing - an empty plate is all that remained. Service was good and... More

We were there at 6:30pm on a wet Monday evening, and got a harbourside table without booking. Room is modern and pleasant, but lack of table linen gives it a cafeteria feel. For starters we had oysters and chowder, both very good. Mains of fish if the day and braised beef cheeks were rather spoiled by strange accompiaments such as... More

We were advised to book for 6pm before a show at 8pm. Luckily one of our table was late arriving so we didin't order till 6.30pm - there was no need to dine early as the place wasn't really busy. Entrees of oysters kilpatrick, baby calamari and the saganaki with spiced figs were good and promptly delivered. 3 of our... More

Food generic, nothing stands out, but reliable and value for money. Wait staff are good, view terrific, and semi alfresco tables available. Parking is beyond the usual Wrest Point car park, nearer the water, then walk around the waterfront way to enter the Restaurant. You can go in via the casino, but that is rather avoidable. Be warned, if you... More

Started off well with a newly appointed waiter snapping us a table with a great view of the river. Food was brilliant when it finally arrived after several attempts to get our order right. Tried to offer advice to the manager that the front of house service needed improvement but was told it was not their fault. Fairly disappointed

We had a wonderful time at Pier One. My husband, 3 year old and I came for my birthday on Sunday 19th October. Our booking was at 6pm and due to arriving slightly early we were able to enjoy a drink in the lounge prior to dinner. We sat at approximately 6.15pm and had server Hana looking after us at... More
