My dining mate & I started off with Trio of Dips w Woodfired Flat Bread - $15.50. The dips were nice but not great & the herbs used on the flat bread was a bit overpowering for the beetroot/capscicum flavours of the dips. It was a substantial start to our meal although I think the price is a bit "up... More

We visited this pub for trivia and dinner while visiting Hobart. The food was reasonably priced and yummy. The trivia was great - though we did feel a bit out of place in a sea of locals. The owner was affable and spent time visiting with patrons at the bar throughout the night. We would recommend this pub to anyone... More

Dined here not long ago on a trip to Hobart and left feeling quite full and fed, but a little disappointed on a couple of points. First of all, the place looks and feels great - we were greeted and seated promptly (and by the warm fire) and the service was quite good: attentive, friendly but also casual. Now, the... More

The Duke has great food at reasonable prices. The staff are lovely and want to help in any way. I would definitely eat here again.

What a surprise! Tried The Duke for a working lunch and lived the ambience with the open fire. The choice of lunch dishes was vast and offered great value for money. The food was delicious, the coffee was divine and the service was friendly. Highly recommended!

We dropped into this place on busy Friday night..live music playing we were informed that a meal would be about a 30 to 40 min wait if we were to order..but it was suggested that maybe a garlic bread while we waited with our drink would be ideal..well it was the best garlic/cheese pizza bread we have ever had..then the... We called in here for a pre dinner drink & dinner because we were staying close by at the Travelodge. The staff were amazing. We were so impressed we went back the next night. The food was good and the service was excellent. We'll definitely go back next time we're in hobart.

I ate there a number of times on holiday and always impressed. With no reservation they found me a table and served my order promptly even when busy. I tried their range of pizza which are original creations more filling than traditional Italian . Friday nights have live music which is too loud for conversation. Friendly staff and convenient to... Dined here with my wife last night, she had been for dinner with a group a few weeks before and told me she really enjoyed the food. Her sister had also been back after the group dinner and enjoyed again. We were seated quickly without a reservation on a Saturday night, no problems. The service was excellent from the waitress... Really enjoyable evening. The porterhouse was cooked perfectly, there was a group of 12 of us and all meals came out at the same time. It is on the expensive side and the setting is 'funky pub' but all in all an enjoyable place to eat
