I've lunched at Pranzo twice, each time with impressive results. Pasta is homemade and it shows, and the flavors divine. My last lunch was milk poached pork with preserve cherries: we are talking very old school (medieval) style of cooking here. It was simple, hugely satisfying and the sort of food it's difficult to find, but well worth the effort... More

Business colleague from Melbourne and I had a lunch meeting with a client, the client chose this restaurant because he knows it well. Even though it is winter we chose to sit outside, it was cold but pleasant. The owner was our waiter, very friendly and knows his stuff. My colleague and I had the steak, cooked perfection, our gets... More

This is an excellent restaurant, its vibrant a small but interesting menu. The Blue Swimmer crab is great, I have it most times. Service can be a bit slow at times, not deliberately, rather I have the impression they just want you to enjoy it. Suggest if you have specific time slot/window make sure you tell them. you wont be... More

I had walked by this restaurant many times and it is always packed. I had occasion to visit it for a business lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The service is exeptional

This is a great place for a business lunch - you can have a quick meal or sit all afternoon. If you want a quick meal just make sure you let them know when you get there, or if you have a large group perhaps pre-order. The service is always excellent. I eat here regularly and will continue to do... More

I've been here for lunch a few times now. It's a place "to be sure", but people wouldn't pay these prices if the food wasn't great! The menu is satisfactorily varied (have had great pasta and risotto in particular) and the atmosphere is nice. It has a touch of sophistication for breakfast or lunch. It's a perfect spot if you... Prices are average for this sort of restaurant and the place has a good atmosphere. I was a bit disappointed with the charcuterie, felt like they could have individualized it a bit more. Roasted chicken with cherries was really nice. Very different range of wines, but no problem choosing something nice.

The pasta was good but not a wow. The wine prices are frankly ridiculous. $59 is one of the cheapest wines available. It can be bought in the wine shop for $19.90 or less. If you want good food and a 300% wine mark-up this is for you.

We had breakfast here. The restaurant was busy with takeaway coffee orders which is a good sign that the coffee will be good and it was. Our meals were excellent. We would eat here again.

I echo the comments above and in particular I should like to comment on the friendliness of the Maitre d' - Abdulla . This was my first visit, and my daughter's fourth. The ambiance of the restaurant is enhanced by the constantly changing passage of Adelaidians going about their business.
