Amalfi is somewhat of Adelaide institution, but on previous occasions I have walked out for how long it takes to get served, and found out the friend I dined with on this occasion had also done the same on occasions. We once again came close to doing another walk-out before being served in the nick of time. Sadly, we should... More

we visit adelaide a few times a year and always try new restaurants, but wow we will be visiting amalfi again and again, for the size of the place and the amount of people seated you are still made to feel very welcomed and special, food was very high standard (fantastic) serves where very large, small margarita pizza we shared... We just rediscovered this amazing Italian restaurant. it is in the heart of the city and after you have filled up with food, you can stroll down Rundle Street and enjoy the atmosphere. You need to book as this restaurant is always full. Its full for the reason that it has great food, fast service and a very big menu... More

I am a regular at amalphi for both private dining and also for client lunches. Every time I go back it is only for the food and only to get take away. The staff have a terrible attitude and poor customer service skills.

We were lucky enough to get a table when we turned up on a Wednesday night - the place was already jumping! Despite how amazingly busy it was the staff were brilliant and we were looked after very attentively. The recommended wine was excellent and the food (we both had pasta) was DELICIOUS - I had the spaghetti putanesca and... More

Quick & friendly service. In Amalfi, always go for the specials. You will understand why the place is so popular. Real Italian food. Fresh produce. Great wine at affordable prices. Portions are generous. My favourite: fettuccini bongole in white wine sauce

The Food is FANTASTIC, have been 6 times and we live in Melbourne. I have read some reviewers complaining about the cramped tables, noisy conditions and the sometimes long delays to get service and some staff being a little "Rude"................ all signs of a popular and busy place I believe, it's much better than listening to the children fight over... Amalfi has been an Adelaide institution as long as I can remember. It has always drawn the crowds, and maintained it's great service and food. On two recent visits I have to say it still delivers quality food, above and beyond the many other Italian style cafes and restaurants in Adelaide. My most recent meal of Veal pasta, was delicious... Should you order anything other than Pizza, something that no way resembles what is discribed on the menu, tasteless and greatly overpriced is placed before you. A once enjoyable establishment in the past, that served tasty and good quality dishes, is not a "restaurant" we would return to and definately not recommened. To add we have had a quieter evening... This is a restaurant which makes good pizzas. The balance of the menu provides for a reasonable range and the food is what is expected for the price. The place has good atmosphere but is starting to look a bit tired.
