These guys know what they are on about. From the moment we arrived the guy behind the bar was helpful and knowledgeable. I started by ordering a Margarita and he suggested a Wargarita ...Margarita with a hint of Wasabi...awesome!! We chose the $68 per person menu. OMG what a treat! Approx 13 dishes and then dessert. All perfectly proportioned. I... More

We recently made a reservation at Press to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. We had eaten there before and had been really impressed with the staff and the quality of the food. We were excited to take a very expensive and special bottle of wine purchased on the day my son was born to drink at his 21st birthday. We... More

We were newly arrived in Adelaide, hungry and body clocks out of sync with the local time. (Adelaide is an inconvenient 2 and a half hours behind New Zealand time and it takes multiple flights to get there) So we were hungry at a time when the restaurants were not yet serving dinner. A nice man at Cos era-staurant suggested... More

Stopped in for lunch after a day of museums. Staff we extremely friendly and knowledgeable on both the food and the wine. Lunch was in the downstairs room and one of the long communal tables. We started with two small dishes ... the raw tuna with pickled cucumber and the quinoa salad which were both good portions and nice to... More

I really like the menu at this place, both the food and the beers on offer. The atmosphere is really nice, both upstairs and down, and the food quality is exceptional. Service can be a bit slow, even when it's seemingly not that busy as we were surprised that we sat for quite a while without offer for our drinks... More

Crowded and noisy, this is an upbeat restaurant with a bit of mod (dare I say hipster) attitude. The food matches the location: simple, modern and a little quirky, with a focus on quality meats (but still plenty for the vegetarians among us.)

I have been to press a number of times and I love their small plates and burger. The Steak Tartare and wings are tasty as and their burger is amazing. At times the onion rings have been inconsistent but when they are good they are tasty as. Great wine list and ambience.

Had yellow fin tuna (raw) squid charred on grill (best squid I ever had, but don't match it with a white, choose a light red as the char is pronounced) And fish of day (whiting on grill). Everything was spectacular, way beyond my expectations. Dessert was lemon soufflé. Also fabulous. Matched with coconut ice cream, crispy coconut debris, wow! Thenriesling... More

Meat focused menu - raw, offal steak, unusual cocktails. Shared tables means that the solo traveller could never feel alone in this place. I loved the steak tartare, the pork belly was too big for one. I tried the dark and stormy cocktail, liked it although ginger ale dominated the taste of it. Really liked the bread. Hipster waiters, friendly... More

I was a little hesitant to come here looking at the menu which sounded somewhat pretentious in the odd combinations of food. BUT we tried it anyway for a special occasion and were very pleasantly surprised. I wasn't very hungry for lunch, so had the "small plate" Quinoa/Lentil salad - actually rather 'big' and very filling and tasty with the... More
