Toasted smoked salmon, caper and boiled egg sandwich and a bottle of sparkling water. What could go wrong! Plenty - the toast was stale and soggy. The filling was minimal. The $9 bottle of sparkling water was 'still'. I have been going to this restaurant for many years. This was a bad experience. The staff did the right thing and... More

We dinned once again at Bistro France .. this time on 13th February. Dinner was immaculate and delicious. Kir Royal to start, Onion Soup and Pate great entrees. The Flathead special was wonderful The Almond coating a nice touch. The Duck in orange sauce was awesome and the Beavouis for dessert was light and fluffy. All tasted wonderful.

A busy shopping centre is an unusual location for a French bistro - but here it is, hiding in plain view, surrounded by dress and kitchen shops. Bistro France is obviously a favourite with the locals however, as it was well patronised on a recent Thursday evening when we visited. Not hard to see why - French inspired menu and... More

We went to this restaurant for lunch as we were not sure what it was like , so thought we would give it a go for lunch prior to booking for an evening meal. You have to book ahead which was a good sign. The décor is elegant , very French and the atmosphere subdued , no a place to... More

Bistro France is my favourite lunch haunt. It's Burnside's best kept secret. I have to stop myself from going there all the time. I would eat here daily if I could. Keep up the good work!

Bistro France serves superb classic French cuisine. An offspring of the renowned La Guillotine - and rub by the daughter of the owners La Guilltione - the Bistro has a fine pedigree which serves it well. The food is delicious the ambiance great and the wine suitable - including a Bordeaux with the family name on the label. One simply... More

Situated at the quiet end of Burnside Village, Bistro France is quiet, tastefully furnished and the coffee is good! I often pop in for coffee with friends or lunch( booking essential ) with my partner and we have not been disappointed. A small but quality range of cakes are available each day; a welcome change from the standard range offered... More

The main French Restaurant in Adelaide use to be 'La Guillotine' and it was sad to see its closure. It re-emerged as Bistro France and the food is every bit as good albeit in a shop/café setting. Well worth the effort to visit and take the time to enjoy the wonderful flavours of good French cooking.

We attended this restaurant for a Friday night dinner and I have to say it was really great. My partner had the snails to start and he loved them. The service was excellent as usual. The atmosphere was perfect. I had the beef with peppercorn sauce for main and I loved it. My partner had the duck which was perfectly... More
