I have been there many times and have been so impressed by the friendly staff. The food is generally excellent. The only query I have is that Roast Lamb is served with beans not peas. The traditional serve is lamb, mint jelly and peas (usually served with beans). Don't get me wrong, the beans are always good. The worst part... More

We dropped in to The Arab Steed Hotel to watch the footy and ended up having such a great meal. Staff were amazing, food was amazing and wine list was amazing. If I lived in Adelaide I would spend a lot of time in this great little boozer!!

Drove passed and called in for lunch. It had a great feel as we walked in a classic SA pub. Service was so friendly asking how our days been having a joke with the kids. The $12 Lunch is value for money the Fish and Chips was fantastic better than paying for grilled whiting last night for $43!!! I had... More

The Arab Steed is a reliable place to visit for lunch or dinner. It's located in the busy Hutt Street cafe/ restaurant precinct, and it offers traditional friendly pub ambience- a good place for visitors to Adelaide. They offer traditional pub fare at reasonable prices- a range of lunches for AUD 12, schnitzels for AUD 18, and an interesting range... More

Had dinner with family & friends on Melbourne Cup night with the restaurant really full. Had battered King George Whiting on the menu & when I asked if I could have it grilled there was no problem. The table service was excellent as well. We had a table of eight and everyone enjoyed their meal. I would definitely recommend this... More

I am old and just a little cynical so when I come across old fashioned good quality good value food I almost salivate. The Arab Steed dishes up the kind of food that Mum used to-- a great roast of the day, old favourites like steak and kidney pie, sausages and mash that are very special, lambs fry and bacon... More

This Pub is a favourite meeting place for many. Service..nice, friendly. Food.. The carnivore had steak (what else) and it was cooked to perfection. I had Salmon which was delicious and perfectly cooked also. The young lady had Pork on her fork. Also well done. Drinks all good too. But I have to say the Dining room looks like the... More

Had the lunch time special - beef schnitzel and chips. Atmosphere was good, mostly older folk having lunch and the dining room is clean and nice. Food came out relatively fast and staff were friendly, offering me water when I told them I could not drink alcohol on that day due to work. The first thing the hit me about... More

We had an excellent couple of beers and a very nice counter meal. The Cooper's Ales were very good and the meals were excellent. Recommend the Salmon and the Schnitzels. Happy to recommend.
