Being a brand new cafe, went with an open mind on service & hoping for great food! Went for breakfast, on arrival waiters unsure what time breakfast was served, menu knowledge was misleading, coffee was okay, food portion was small, bland and really disappointing. Just an idea, if you have a pizza oven , why not make a breakfast pizza! Great... More

Food was really average and overpriced, but it's convenient for when you want something quick and convenient.

We unfortunately had a similar experience as the previous reviewer. We were so excited to come to this restaurant only to be let down dismally. The pizzas were dry and lacking flavour. They don't have the classic Margherita! Please Manta Ray, take note, your restaurant has so much potential! Please try and at least use cheese and more tasty tomato... More

After the restaurant went under renovations, we had higher expectations of pizza. What we just got were two dry, flat and tasteless pizza's for $56. We could go to the shop and buy frozen pizzas that taste better. I was beyond disappointed.

We were on Hamilton Island the week that Manta Ray Café opened and we went for coffee three mornings in a row. The building is very nicely done, good tables and chairs on the verandah and another larger area under cover at the side of the building. Staff were very friendly and although we didn't eat there we looked at... More

My husband and I had a breakfast, lunch and a dinner at Manta Ray during our stay at Hamilton Island. The meals were all lovely, coffee the best we found on the Island and they had options to suit our dietary requirements (gf/df). The service was a bit hit and miss as others have noted, but we heard they had... More

The three of us went to Matra Ray for dinner last night and were all impressed. We started with a garlic pizza bread that was very fast. After checking out the menu and seeing reasonable prices, we thought that the meals may be a bit small, so we ordered a side dish of beetroot and carrot with spinach leaves and... More

I ordered a meal and everyone else on my table had pizza. They didnt being my meal and didn't even really care that I was sitting there while everyone else around me was eating. The service was incredibly bad and we had to wait a long time to get our meals. The good thing was that the pizzas where nice.

A lovely casual restaurant right on the marina. Casual as in dress code but very smart in food and presentation. Sat and watched all the bats getting ready to leave their trees right on dusk. Wonderful experience, we'll be back one day

Have dined here many times over the years & I can honestly say they have improved over that time. When we haven't booked one of the fine dining restaurants, Manta Ray Café has been our reliable back up..... always a relaxing atmosphere watching over the marina & tasty food. Pretty reasonable on the wallet & excellent service........kids are served first... More
