A quick feed for Friday lunch. Only three others there. Waiter super friendly. Menus. Study. Order. Both of us had Pad Thai. One chicken and one pork. A short time later the steaming plates arrive. Ribbon noodles with the normal inclusions. Peanut sprinkles and a quarter lime. The noodles were a tad over sauced for my liking but were tasty... More

I eat here at least once or twice a week. The Vietnamese choices will never disappoint, I love the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and the Vermicelli Noodle dishes. Quality of food is always very consistent and delicious! If you love real Vietnamese food then you will love this restaurant. Please don't pass this little restaurant up!

Second visit here in 2 years. Both times faultless. This place has real authentic vietnamese food and is just amazing value for money. Be sure to try the bahn khot!!

The food is absolutely delicious. I have traveled through Vietnam and also try every Vietnamese restaurant within traveling distance from home, and the food at New Saigon was up there with the best I've ever had. Down side is you will have to be very patient, service is slow.

Arriving with 3 kids, 3 adults by cab from Cavill Ave (approx $15), we found a seat pretty easily inside. The decor is basic. The food choice large. The service minimal. It seemed like there was only the chef and 1 guy taking orders and waiting tables........service was slow. The place wasn't packed either. Food was good and we ordered... More

We stumbled upon this homely restaurant by chance and we are glad we did. We looked at the menu and seemed reasonably priced so we gave it a try. At first glance, it did not impress as there were a few dirty tables that had not been cleared, but soon we realised it was just a SMALL family business (husband... More

Take-away and often-coming people are served much(sic!) faster then usual customers. Waited for food over two and a half hours, did not expect that from such cheap looking restaurant.

We came here twice with our 2 kids during our time in Surfers. Simple, down to earth decor and excellent food. Pricing is not extremely cheap but still reasonable.

We've been regulars for years and always had a good meal but last week we popped up with friends and found that the menu had expanded to include Pho and it was "to die for". It is one of my all time favourite meals. The decor is very plain unlike the food. This is a place that the locals use... More

The decor of this restaurant was very simple. The menu is quite extensive and moderately priced. My partner had the mushroom entree and it was absolutely delicious. He then followed it with a sizzling beef dish. Mine was the mild red chicken curry and both were wonderful, fantastically flavoured. The waiter ( i think the owner ) was a little... More
