Brilliant little restaurant the food is fantastic. It might not look much from the outside but it is definitely worth going to. This place has a great atmosphere and is reasonably priced staff were very helpful too.

It is a cozy restaurant with warm wooden interiors. The service was great and the food was very fresh and delicious! It is one of the best Vegetarian Japanese food we have ever had. Must try the Udon Noodles and the Soya dipped Edamame. We had a lovely time and probably would like to go again this visit!

Nice food and nice staff. Very friendly. The only downside is that the restaurant is quite small, not suitable for big group. Make sure you book as well.

Profile: 31y.o fit male, coeliac Pros: Very cute restaurant, authentic gentle vibe, tasty gluten free food options, fantastic sake, great helpful staff. Cons; None! On a winter's weekend evening, this turned out be a highlight of the trip. The staff showed genuine care for ensuring my food was gluten free, and the bar was quaint and provided a great range... My boyfriend and i were up looking for something to eat other than a greasy kebab at 11pm on a friday night when we stumbled across this little gem!! We love our japanese food and without hesitation labelled it the best we've ever had! He got the japanese bbq ribs and i got the special chicken udon hot pot! We... More

Have dined here on a number of occasions, the quality of the food is consistently good and the prices reasonable. The service has always been friendly, if at times a little difficult to understand but that's no big deal, just adds to the fun. Best pork gyozas I've ever had, and the house saki is pretty good too

We love our Japanese food and loved this place. It was a bit of a late dinner. We had Japanese style pickles, mushroom gyoza, seaweed salad, and umeshu - plum wine and soda. Oyster shooter was yum. Would come back for sure!

Whenever we holiday on Gold Coast we aways visit Bistro lamp. Food is just excellent. Staff are always friendly. Overall the restaurant is not that big and it can get hot at times inside, however there is a limited amount of outdoor seating that might be cooler.

So.... Decided to write this while actually at the restaurant as we have been here 2 hours and still not had all the food we ordered. That said, what we have recieved had been truly delicious. I just do t think that as a general policy having waiters that are clearly uninterested in customers, and can't remember very basic orders,... More

We visited this lovely Japanese restaurant twice during our recent trip to Surfers Paradise. Although the meals took a while to come out, and not all came out together, we were happy to overlook this due to the quality of the food which was outstanding, especially for the price, with mains around $12.00. A pity we did not discover this... More
