The food quality was not good but the service and the response was excellent. the wine was unpalatable and so was the food. The good thing though was that when I complained I was told that I didn't have to pay. The general attitude of the staff was very good. I hope they can fix the food.

This is not flash Thai; it's good, honest, delicious food to be shared with friends and family. I wouldn't recommend this as a romantic night out as there are always big groups and often young children running rings around their tired looking parents but as long as your conversations are going to be lively, it's a lovely spot to have... We have been to chiang mai thai many times and have always had a great time. The food is consistently good and quick. The kids sit in these massive elephant chairs which is fun. The restaurant is decorated in lot's of thai furniture and fitout which adds to the experience. On the downside, in their menu there is lot's and... More

This has been our favourite restaurant in Surfers for many years and we always look forward to eating here. We love it so much that we booked to dine here three times during our week long trip. Some of the dishes that we tried were amazing and up to the usual high standard however some were disappointing. We had a... More

Wow, what an experience! The staff are lovely, the food portions were huge, great value for money and authentic and traditional. Our waiter, Bane, was very polite and attentive. We can't wait to come back to the Goldy for another night of Chang Mai Thai.

Had read reviews and ordered less than usual but still amazed at how much food there was. Pineapple fried rice ( served in a fresh pineapple) and carved timber elephant chairs were a hit with the kids. Main meal was also delicious and we have high expectations having travelled to Thailand as a family. Highly recommend. Not ideal for a... More

Birthday celebration at Chiang Mai, enjoyable night out with family, food was above average however I felt a little like a sardine where we were sitting. Would go again during the week not Saturday night.

The food is always very fresh & tasty with generous servings. Sometimes service is too quick if you like a leisurely meal. Overall a very good Thai Restaurant to go to.
