The food is amazing and the service is also excellent. I love it we will be back, I love the elephant seats & the carts. We stay at crown towers so it is nice and close for us to enjoy Thai at this fantastic restaurant.

We have literally chosen to visit broadbeach's Chiangmai Every time we are in Gold Coast. This year we stayed at Mantra Crown tower Surfers Paradise where there is a franchised Chiangmai inhouse. Yet we still chose to go to the one in Broad-beach because our past experience showed that they are not all the same. We walked past the Surfers'... More

With its Thai style building structure and decor in and out, Chiang Mai Thai should find it easy to attract customers. We ordered two entrees and four main dishes to be shared by the four of us, and there were neither disappointments nor delightful surprises. Seating is rather cramped, though. Having said that, I believe it would still be safe... More

Firstly we were put at a table that back onto a thoroughfare. Dreadful ambiance. Then we were moved to an awesome table. Happy with that we ordered and were excited to eat from a restaurant with such great reviews. I am a green curry fanatic and I had the worst green curry I have ever had. The prawns were great... My husband and I heard about the lovely Thai food and we knew it was a special place as soon as we saw the decor, those elephant chairs!! The service was fantastic..the food authentic and presented beautifully. There were a few people eating in the restaurant from the hotel above with their kids, but the place is big enough with subdued lighting... More

Have enjoyed dining at Chiang Mai Thai (Surfers Paradise) a few times now. Always an enjoyable experience....although not a fan of the wooden chairs carved in the shape of elephants - very heavy, nearly put your back out trying to move in and away from the table !!! The service was excellent, waitresses looked after our table very well, very... More
