Stopped by here for drinks on our way out to dinner. Very casual, busy, nice mix of people giving it a good atmosphere - and a log fire burning, which was nice to see! Efficient service by the bar staff, and they make an excellent margarita! Did not sample the food, but the menu looked quite extensive. Good place to... More

Nothing fancy, but what you expect from a good tavern...big, hearty value for money meals. What makes this tavern stand out from the crowd is it's view over the water/yachts. The seagulls can be pesky when patrons depart with unfinished food on their plates (not uncommon given the size of the meals), but the staff are conscious of this and... More

We heard about this place when on a canal cruise and it looked good from the water. So we went there one evening. It's not the easiest place to find, so make sure the GPS is fully setup or have a good map. The location is right on the water and your can sit by the window or have an... More

There was nothing we disliked about the Tavern. A great place to spend a lazy afternoon. The views across the spit and the food was something to remember.

I came here in search for a fishbowl and was not disappointed! My partner and shared one and it was so yum! We also got a large chips and sat outside watching the water! I would definitely recommend this to everyone!

Very casual atmosphere with great location overlooking the water and huge TV screen. We ate with a group of business associates before attending a function elsewhere and were able to watch the Aussies vs the Kiwis on the screen while we ate.

Head to the Fisherman's wharf on Tuesday night, buy a drink and you're issued with a meal voucher which enables you to buy a meal for $6.95. This is an excellent deal and you get to choose either a fish or steak meal. The rump steak is generous in size and cooked to perfection. Although I haven't tried it, my... More

We came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon and were definitely impressed by the view of the wharf and the delicious seafood. Highly recommend the Seafood Indulgence which serves 2-3 people, fish & chips, chicken wings and of course the red and white wines. A perfect place for a cosy weekend lunch!

Appetite stimulated by the sea air, my friend and I dropped in for lunch on the recommendation of Spirit of Gold Coast Whale Watching. I was not disappointed. A dozen plump oysters, a fat bucket of prawns and a glass or two of bubbly made for a delightful extended lunch. Our only challenge was resisting the urge to share with... More
