Whilst visiting Surfers for a holiday we called into Waxys for lunch, They have a $2 steak special ($2 extra for sauce, chips, salad). So for a total of $8, a nice peice of steak, with all the sides. Couple that with ice cold beers and you have a winner.

Can't say i was too impressed with the food but the decor was lovely. Was a tad too humid inside as the air conditioning didn't seem to be working or wasn't turned on. The staff were absolutely lovely and kept the floors and tables clean as soon as patrons leave

Have been a regular here for many years, but unfortunately of late the staff are becoming obnoxious and in attentive. We love waxys from the atmosphere to the food we just love the place. We esp love $2 steaks on Sundays with chicken salt chips. There's always a good crowd there and has a true Irish feel to it

Good venue with good music & good food but the price of drinks are pretty excessive & I am certainly not a tight a@#.... As I spent most nights I was in Surfers there.

The meat pies where delicious and all home made full of meat and vegs with a gravy made with Guiness the view looking out to the beach and all the action of Surfers was great A friendly place to visit

We've been here twice. The first time the food was good and the service friendly. The second time the staff were in attentive, we had to wait an hour for our meals and they were horrible.
