One of the best settings for a restaurant I have ever been to!! Food wise it was a bit expensive, however mostly worth it! If you are going to have one dish you have to try the mud crab!!

My wife and I visited Nautilus for our wedding anniversary. Our experience was faultless. Out of the many restaurants that we have been to in Port Douglas this would have to be the best for intimate atmosphere and the outdoor dinning experience. The restaurant has a tropical rainforest setting high on the hill next to the Main Street of PD.... More

We were tossing up whether to book the degustation with matching wines and were glad we did. The restaurant setting is magical, service top notch and the food, although small servings was tasty. The creme brulee dessert was delicious!

This place aims for 5 star experience, great canopy cocktail lounge for a fruity cocktail or two before dinner (bring insect repellent) Food is well presented, fresh and fabulous. The only downside is a seafood platter comes with 99% white bait, which brings down its 5 star dining appeal. Over all great night

This is our second time to the Nautilus. Outdoor setting is really really beautiful. We had a gorgeous evening so were sitting under the stars. Whilst we enjoyed our evening, my husband and I both thought the service had slipped a little since our last visit... without appearing to being a whinging nit picky patron I really do feel that... The perfect place to dine in the tropics; Nautilus has it all - amazing ambience, attentive staff, fabulous food and stylish presentation. No wonder it's been in business for over 50 years!

This truly is a beautiful restaurant, with nautically themes chairs outside under the stars. It is worth seeing via ordering an appetizer, cocktail or dessert but don't go there for a full meal or you might be disappointed. We saw all the rave reviews and we're expecting a delicious culinary experience (particularly for the very high prices) but were underwhelmed... More

Definitely the best of the half dozen restaurants we tried in Port Douglas - so good we ate there twice. Everything about it puts it head and shoulders above other restaurants in town. The tables are all outdoors, scattered amongst the tropical vegetation on two levels on the side of Flagstaff Hill. They're well-spaced which, coupled with being outdoors, means... More
