Beautiful food!

Since port Douglas is an expensive place, we thought that we may as well spend a little extra on a decent meal. We were not disappointed at all! The food was absolutely delicious and portion sizes were perfect. The service was also very good even though it was very busy. Also reasonably priced for... read more

This open air restaurant on the main drag in Port Douglas is always hopping for a reason: the food, service and ambiance were wonderful. We started with the scrumptious crispy sourdough ciabatta with Cognac scented chicken liver pâté and onion jam. The Thai fishcake special was so so but could just be a texture thing for me. We thoroughly enjoyed... More

My wife and I have visited Zinc on several occasions and have always enjoyed the night out. The food is of the highest standard as is the service. The twice cooked souffle is just superb and we highly recommend it. The local pan fried Barramundi fillet is also a highlight being actually locally caught. I also enjoyed the Blue cheese... More

The Barra was enjoyable and the other dishes all got the thumbs up as well - fish and chips, chicken and tagliatelle ragu.

Had the best meal here with hubby. Perfectly cooked, super tasty and very reasonably priced. We are from Perth were you would pay double for a meal like this at home. Staff were lovely, attentive, but not in your face. Highly recommend! Also, the aquarium at the loos is worth a visit, even if you don't need to go :)

The setting is elegant but they are well equipped for kids. High chairs abound and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our table on the verandah afforded us fresh air and a view of the main street hubbub. What I particularly enjoyed was that there is plenty of room between the tables. It made us feel private and free to... More

For our last night in Port Douglas we thought we would treat ourselves to a really nice night out, and we weren't disappointed. While we don't know fancy wines we know that the mains were fantastic. We had a Crispy Sourdough Ciabatta with beetroot & fetta pesto entree, you didn't get a lot for the price but it tasted very... More

Staff seemed a little bit unintressted to get us in to the restaurant although very nice once we were seated. Nice food and cool aquarium by the toilet. Semi pricy. Worked ok with kids since we were seated on the side of the restaurant (which is great for is with kids since they had room to move there) but still... More

Great meals of high standard, well prepared and presented. The wine list sadly lacked for those of us who don't want to down a whole bottle. Would probably prevent me going back again. Great deserts that were a big hit with all of us..

We chose this restaurant partly by the look of the menu and partly because of their kids eat free meal. With two young kids we wanted an early dinner and booked at the restaurant at 5:30am. Great idea to offer free kids meals for early diners - makes sense for the restaurant to get an early seating in! Unfortunately, despite... More
