We were told that this place is so popular that there is a 3 week waiting list for dinner so opted to have lunch there. No problem with getting a table by the window with a great view. Waitress was excellent and very happy to explain the menu. Service was quick and the food delicious! We shared a tasting plate... More

It really IS all that and a bag of chips- the food was unbelievably expensive, but unusual and delicious! It was our one splurge meal and definitely worth it.

This is a popular restaurant but it is perhaps a victim of its own success. There is an extensive menu and the fish, in particular, is excellent. However the dessert menu is perhaps a little unimaginative. Above all, the pace of the service was glacial and this hugely degraded our experience. The staff gave every impression of being overwhelmed and... More

Starters of duck pate and garlic bread had as filled more than expected so our waiter suggested we delay our mains for 15 minutes. Very helpful and appreciated as... More

I brought family this time after a long lunch with friends was such a first rate experience - again the staff were outstanding, giving good advice about dishes and sharing insights about local produce. The wine list is impressive and the meals were super quick although the place filled up fast. I recommend the jambalaya, yummy and very filling but... More

If not the best meal I've had this year, this was in the Grand Final. A near perfect mix of friendly, knowledgeable & efficient service, imaginative menu and lively wine choices. Even our 5 year old's meal was cooked and presented with pride. Thanks for an outstanding experience in a not outstanding time slot (5.30 Monday). We'll see you for... More

Visited Port Douglas again and Salsa is still a very good place for a meal. We lived in Port Douglas for 8 years and this was and obviously still the place the locals go and one of the reasons is that you get very good food each time. The service is good although one of the girls who has been... More
