Having heard excellent reviews for this establishment, we were very excited to try it out. My partner booked 6 weeks out, to ensure a seat on their illustrious decking area near the cascading water feature. We were immediately disappointed to find ourselves seated behind the maître d's desk, in the walk through for all wait staff. After prompting the young... More

Unlike the high ratings this restaurant gets every year, I get disappointed every year when I eat there. The service is very pushy to get as many patron through as they can in order to have the tables ready for multiple sessions. We were serviced by at least four different persons, which is confusing and does not add to the... More

We have been to Salsa each time we've been in Port Douglas in the last 12 years and it never ceases to serve fabulous food. We had the special of the night - snapper - and it was perfectly cooked and served. Great service. These guys are professionals, not a bunch of fumbling backpackers. Make sure you book to get... Day tripped to Port Douglas and told we must check out Salsas - so we did. Food was great, service from the older waitress was relaxed but professional. The only fault I could pick was the young American waitress who brought over the eftpos machine when we went to pay, she made a definite point of explaining that the first... More

Enjoyed a lovely casual lunch here, shared entrees which were original, fun and delicious. Welcoming service from all staff, especially a gentleman called Possum. Exciting cocktail menu, great view. Will definitely be back.

We had dinner there and it was of the highest quality. Fairly expensive but worth it. The staff were professional. My only complaint was we ordered an espresso martini that they ruined by putting sugar around the rim of the glass therefore making it too sweet. They should state this on the cocktail menu. When we complained to the waitress... More

Went to this place with my partner for lunch after reading reviews and were extremely disappointed. We had a tasting plate and some pâté which were both very poor. We might be spoilt for good food being from Sydney but when you are paying $20-40 for a main I expect better. It seemed like the restaurant was trying to be... More

We stopped for lunch and everything about this place was great. The beachy atmosphere, the breezy windows and the food. The food was simply excellent. I had a special Mahi Mahi and my husband had a Thai beef salad. This was a several steps above most meals we have had on our trip. Very delicate flavour profiles and reasonable portion... More
