Despite the 80's fast food joint vibe they have going on with their decor the food was reall excellent and service was great. Friendly and hospitable staff make all the different. If it's a hot night see if you can get seated near a fan.

Finally made it to Salsa! Had an awesome long lunch with friends and enjoyed every moment of it. The food was fantastic, not overly fussy but great presentation and great value for money. Cocktails were lovely and beautifully made, not slapped together like other places. Service was very good, not intrusive but attentive - a nice change from most Cairns... More

Food is great - especially the Chicken Spring Rolls! May you never ever take them off the menu. We literally have been coming every year at Christmas time for the last at least 15 or more years. The main reason we go is just to have the Spring Rolls - thats how much we love them:). Staff are friendly and... More

This doesn't come lightly from me, but the meal I had at Salsa this weekend was among the best "all round" meals I can remember. And what a surprise - we had no preconceptions, we just sauntered in for dinner one night. The service was lean and efficient, the staff were friendly and attentive (e.g. my water glass rarely stayed... More

Very popular restaurant and we were lucky to be fitted in on a Saturday night by very obliging and friendly staff. The food was excellent and presented beautifully. Cocktail of the day was delicious and water topped up often, which we appreciated. Only down side was the heat- no air conditioning unfortunately!

My partner had been singing the praises of Salsa from her visit a couple of years ago. We finally made it back last night and it was excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable and prescient staff supporting a great menu and efficient kitchen who turned out dumplings, snapper and jambalaya full of flavour and unusual twists (pork and prawn dumplings in beurre blanc... This is my second visit to Port Douglas and Salsa after 7 years and nothing has changed. I'd ordered the same dish I had 7 years ago - linguini pepperincino and it was better than the first time! I'm a big eater and the serving was huge - very generous with the tableland red claw, there were at least 6... More

This restaurant came highly recommended, since our trip was off the peak season we didn't have to make a reservation. As a starter we had garlic bread and the day's special, seven pepper tuna. The garlic bread was ok and we enjoyed the tuna. As main course we had the two specials; 1) pan fried goldband snapper with 'fragrant' rice... More
