It’s no surprise that this airy, open restaurant is so popular with locals and tourists alike and so highly thought of. Friendly, relaxed but professional service, a menu that reflects its FNQ location and prices that are fair and competitive sum up this Port Douglas institution of 20 years. Our excellent waitress has worked at Salsa for 17 years. That... More

I attended Salsa for a wedding reception. The restaurant was tastefully decorated, the staff attentive and helpful, and the food was great

Quaint little place with just the right mix of laid back and attentive service. Enjoyed an exceptional and imaginative dish of slow cooked eye fillet rubbed in chilli and coffee with black Bernaise sauce. Only word to describe it, fantastic! By far the best dish I've had in years. The chef is truly on his game!

The food at this restaurant is great, the quince brûlée was one of the best I have tasted, the apple sorbet accompanying it was luscious

Salsa Bar has been our favourite Port restaurant for all the years we have been visiting there. We have lived in the Cairns area for over 20 years and frequented it whenever visiting or staying in Port Douglas, however this time we had our small well behaved Bichon dog with us. We wished to dine in and put Kashmir out... More

I have to say I was a bit dubious when I saw this restaurant it looked alot like a family dining restaurant when my husband and I were looking for a romantic night out. It may not have been what you would call a classic romantic night out but it sure was fun!! The dragonfruit cocktails to start with were... More

Having changed our minds about cooking our own dinner, we rolled up to Salsa, shopping bags in hand, having not read any reviews and hoping that they had a free table. We were lucky, having not booked, that they were able to find us a spot. Having eaten, I can fully understand why this restaurant is so popular. The food... More

Loved our dinner at Salsa and thanks Nicholas for your attentive and down to earth service. Fabulous menu and food and recommend booking well in advance as we booked the day we arrived and could only get in day 7 of our holiday!
