A must do when in port douglas

Loved this place, rocked up at 4:30 for a few drinks and a bucket of prawns until the groped feeding, unfortunately they didn't show on this day. Had a table booked for 6pm sat down to great service and great meals with a fantastic view! Will be back again tonight for more drinks and prawns hoping... read more

One of the things I was most looking forward to about going to Port Douglas was going to a really nice seafood restaurant. Before we go away I do skim through trip advisor and get an idea of food places but I never settle on definite places to eat as my husband usually prefers to spontaneously decide when we are... Great staff, nice atmosphere but the price and menu options aren't great. Most of the fish on the menu is mixed and seasoned with so much stuff you can't taste it, there's no point in ordering a quality seafood if all you can taste is the seasoning.

We decided to book after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. Unfortunately we were somewhat underwhelmed by the atmosphere, food and service which seemed about average. Maybe we got it on a bad night however it did not seem to live up to the reviews on our visit.

When your wait staff are also the entertainment, I would normally run for the hills. George the obese groper is the draw card. Basically a fat fish that devours a few scraps at about five each day. Don't expect much and you'd be right. A few quick splashes from a beast that could have in fact been my mother in... More

We visited here on the recommendation of our hotel and were not disappointed. It is a bit tricky to find but worth a visit. We went in the evening after dark so didn't get to see the views but having passed it in the day I think it would be a great place for a long lunch. Although I don't... More

Fish and seafood restaurant with staggering views. Very casual and some different food offerings. Not cheap, but well worth a trip and take your camera!

Came here on Tuesday April 14th, we hadn't booked but they found us a table, despite looking very full. We ordered the fresh tuna and it was amazing. We had it rare and you could cut it with a fork. Quite a huge piece of tuna but the sides were quite small, however we felt like it had been value... More

Excellent seafood at a restaurant with an amazing view from every table. It is meant to be extra special during sun set. We were there for lunch and totally enjoyed it

Booked the day prior and went to see if George the Groper would turn up between 5 and 5:30 pm. Ordered a couple of beers from a non entity of a barman who even got the order wrong. Waited for a while to find out where we were to be seated after the fish viewing crowd abated. Thanks to Rainbow... More
