Great lunch spot!

We had a really great lunch here this week. If you want to experience the best time try and time it for full tide. Has to be the best spot in Port Douglas to enjoy a lazy lunch watching the boats. We had OTI oysters, Nahm jim and their version of kilpatrick which were all great. I had and... read more

We had dinner last night at On the Inlet and it was fantastic. Having not been to Port Douglas for many years we had no preconceptions on where to eat and we picked on the inlet due to the tripadvisor reviews and what sounded like an interesting seafood platter. We loved the seafood platter, nothing fried other than the perfectly... More

We initially went to try this place on our first night in port Douglas but the lady waitress seemed rude so we left We returned to give it another go and had a great waiter his name was Pedro. Very helpful and cheery. We ordered the seafood platter and crab. It was great, tasty and not too over price considering... More

We ate here a number of times during our stay. Place was extremely busy both times and had to wait for a table which was fine. Food was good I would not say great, a good spot for some food and a couple of quiet drinks.

Dined here twice during week long stay in Port Douglas. Surprisingly, even out of season booking is advised. The view is fabulous overlooking the inlet. The food is first class, varied and interestingly put together. Over two dinners between two people we had fish curry, paella, oysters and well as the more staple fish and chips. Everything was fresh and... More

Lovely setting, we had tea here. Very good food and comfortable. Safely covered so we were watching the rainfall from our table.

Fantastic location, Staff very friendly, and described the menu very well. Both meals we ordered were excellent. I would have rated this resturaunt higher if it weren't for a couple of little things. 1. We ordered an entree that never turned up. 2. Waited 40 minutes for our meal to arrive which I thought was just s little long. Almost... More

We hired a car in Cairns and drove out to Port Douglas for lunch. We hit the market and went for a walk to find a nice place for lunch but to our dismay we could only find pub grub. So we drove out of the strip and saw a weather beaten sign saying 'Seafood Restaurant'. With no other guide... More

Two entrees, shashimi and chilli pepper calamari, followed by the coral trout. Food and entertainment provided by Rainbow. What a pleasure. The food was without doubt, well above standard. I wish I had enough time to visit here again. We arrived maybe 10 mins before a bus load of Chinese tourists (which added to the occasion) but we didn't suffer... More

My partner and I had been craving a seafood platter, so we tried 'on the inlet', the platter was okay but it would have been better if there were calamari and scallops on there as well. On there were fish, prawns, mussels, bugs and oysters. You had a choice of having a crab on there but to have the crab... More
