Small restaurant but very happy staff and excellent food a little dearer than we are used to paying but we dined two nights in a row as it was outstanding.

We came for lunch on opening time of 12:00 hr, but what an experience of Chinese cuisine this was. The spring rolls were crip both outside as well as the filling, unlike the wet soggy ones one often gets in other Chinese restaurants. The main dish was also very well prepared and presented. The service was very pleasant and polite.... More

Far as I know this is the only Chinese place in Port Douglas and the food was surprisingly good. I've often found ethnic restaurants in tourist towns below par, but in this case the food is right up there with the best Chinese restaurants in the big cities. A quality dining experience and strongly recommended.

I have dinned here previously and had good service however last night was a joke!! We sat outside on the pavement by choice and were given menus' and water, then nothing for 20 minutes. People arrived after us and received our meals before we could even order. After finally attracting the young French backpacker waitress we ordered some wine, which... More

We wanted a change from fish so decided to have takeaway from the Jade Inn. It was easy to order and was ready when they said it would be. However it was not the greatest Chinese we had ever eaten.

Family of 4 visited here. Always busy every night. Food was good but portions small and a little over priced. We had 4 mains plus shared starters and the kids and hubby wanted more. The bill was close to $150 so depends on what your budget is. Well worth a visit.

I haven't eaten Chinese in years so we thought we'd stop in and try the food here. I was immediately impressed by the staff, they were personable and entertaining with a great sense of humour. The food was quite expensive but it was definitely delicious and we enjoyed every mouthful.

If you are looking for good Chinese and good service by a nice lady with a good sense of humour (Christine) then Jade Inn is the place to go. We enjoyed all of Port Douglas eating facilities but went back to savour more good Chinese after an earlier experience, and again we were not disappointed. Well recommended and judging by... More

It may not be a big restaurant but the food is superb. Frankly we were surprised at the quality and the authenticity considering it is essentially catering to Australian tastes. I recommend the stir fry Barramundi in black bean sauce. Get there early if you want a table or book in advance.

A consistent feature in Macrossan St. I've been going to this little family owned Chinese restaurant for over 20 yrs when in PD and I've never left disappointed. The service can be a bit slow but remember; it's Port Douglas, relax and enjoy the ambience. The food is really fresh and served piping hot. Good selection of traditional fare.
