low cost food, best for travellers

We went here as we were looking for a cheaper bar meal. The food was served quickly after ordering at the bar. The menu is huge, with all the traditional bar meals one would expect. If you want a big meal, go here. Great portion sizes, even if the food isn't the best. Good selection of beer on tap too. Their mixers are flat though - looking at previous reviews this has been a problem for a while. Better option is heading to Central Pub, 2 mins up the road.

We had a very tasty meal outside whilst watching a spectacular sunset over Port. Good value for money, service does need some work however. Live music is always a draw card plus the view and atmosphere but it would benefit if staff were friendlier.

It was steak night and my wife had a very good cut, prepared well and tasty. I opted for the fish and chips and did not go wrong. The fresh local caught barramundi was plentiful and delicious. The menu was extensive, food good and prices reasonable. A great place for a nice meal right next to the waterfront park. Check... More

We where hoping to have enjoy our first meal out, food was ok, but the service was very disappointing as watriess dropped a menu in my meal and only gave a fake apology and continued to find it a big joke along with what we simsise was the manger. There are much better options in port duglous.

Visited here for Australia day and wanted to order a chicken parmigana thinking I couldn't go wrong. Boy was I wrong. The chicken parma was so soggy for both my husband and I. It was the worst parma experience we've ever had..The chicken was super soggy and the cheese and ham tasted cheap and the tomatoes on the side were... More

Fabulous corner position ideal for people watching. Excellent staff and service. Great menu, the ribs are FANTASTIC. 7 of us went there 3 times in a week. Kids were very welcome. Entertainment was good, we even played pool. Absolutely tremendous with a fabulous atmisphere, really made our holiday.

Just returned from a fab 4 day break in Port Douglas. Having a great time going to the many cool bars and restaurants thinking "wow I can't believe how good the service here is". That was until I went to the Court House Hotel. Cannot fault the position, ambience and entertainment but the service has a lot to be desired..... More

You have to stop by for a beer here, if for nothing else nostalgia, there is some live music on the weekends, and the crowds are fun. The menu is bar food, but burgers and fries are fine with Aussie beer. Good beer selection, and friendly staff.

The bistro never disappoints. My husband loves the ribs and the seafood basket was amazing. Great pub meals with plenty of friendly service. they have live music there sometimes and on New Years Eve this place was really rocking.
