Better than average club food

This is a relaxed venue with seating on a covered deck. You order food at the counter, and buy drinks at the bar. It's set back from Four Mile Beach, but the outlook is towards the beach. The deck turned out to be a little cool on the breezy evening that we were there, but the blinds were... read more

I hate leaving negative reviews but I was very upset by my experience here today. We came in just after 3 for a drink and saw that there were cakes on offer at the bar, which we decided to try. No one came to seat us so we found ourselves seats and I walked up to the kitchen bar. I... More

Food was ok but definitely could've been better. The bar staff didn't know much about what they were serving & weren't interested in it either. Certainly don't make use of the location!

We spend a month every winter in Port Douglas. Last year heard rave reviews regarding this establishment. Unfortunately, my husband had a rather nasty accident in 2014, whilst we were in PD. This year we decided the Surf Club had to be our first dining experience. So disappointed! Bland food, poor presentation, certainly not expensive. But then again, you pay... More

Located right at the waterfront it is besutiful setting for lunch but food is really disapointing. Portions are very nig but its where it stops. Was silly enough to order calamary dish. Calamaries were horrible- very dry and cooked in bad oil. Had to take a pill to calm down my stomach afterwords. My husbands deep fry basket was not much... More

A group of 6 of us went there for lunch and everyone's meal was absolutely delicious!! Between us there was a couple of burgers, the salmon, sushi roll, massaman beef and steak. We were in Port Douglas a week, ate at many different spots, and everyone agreed it was the best meal we had. We went back for lunch again... More

Great location on the beach front. Food and drinks were very nice and at a reasonable price. Service was also good. We ate here a couple of times on our trip to PD!

As with most clubs, you need to order food at the counter and get your drinks from the bar. We ate here twice during our stay and both times the food was prepared quickly and was tasty. The mud crab baco and coral trout taco were both delicious, but presentation made them fairly tricky to eat and a bit messy.... More

Down by the beach, this club restaurant is one of the best we have eaten at. The menu is great and then the food is quick, well presented and yummy. We will return some day.

We went here for an afternoon drink after the beach. No service as we went in, asked the bar tender for recommendations as not Australian and info was given but not clear,we were both disappointed as this is in the superb location but we would not visit again. To many other potential places to waste your time when the service... More
