We had a great evening at the Surf Lifesaving Club. We found it among the better-priced restaurants in Port Douglas. The steak was particularly good and very good value. The fish tacos were beautifully served and delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to Port Douglas travellers.

Last year the food was great. What happened in 12 months?? Mussaman beef curry was fatty and chewy. Fish stew lacked seasoning. Kids meals were woeful. Five pieces of pasta and a bowl of fries. You've got to be joking!! The corn is still good. But this place isn't cheap. Money better spent elsewhere.

All I can say is if you like a litre of cheese on your garlic bread, annoying loud mouth drunks, Average meals and a whole lot of disappointment Go and waste your money time and health at this place

We ate here twice during our stay in Port Douglas and the food was excellent on both occasions. The special, salmon, was fantastic. Apparently it has been on the specials menu for 2 years. It was a but breezy in the evening and not the most ambient evening location, but the food was always excellent.

We were here on Saturday for lunch. Firstly we had to join a long queue just to order. The same girl who was taking the orders at the register was also making the coffees as people ordered them, therefore taking a long time. We also had to find ourselves a table when a lovely family had just finished and came... More

We ate here twice on holiday and each time was incredible! The food perfectly cooked, good quantity and each mouthful eye rolling heavenly good!! I only ordered one kids meal for my young girls to share and still they gave us two dessert vouchers. Girls loved the fenced playground right by. Best food I had all week and excellent value... More

Eighth year in a row visiting PD and only discovered this place after a reference from a friend who holidays there every year and only tried himself for the first time! Food is excellent, good value and a variety of dishes to choose from. The Coral Trout Tacos as an entrée were magnificent as were the parmas, steak and pasta... More

The surf club is located near 4 mile beach and is thus off the beaten track but wow is it ever worth finding! We had already dined at Salsa, Two Fish and other top rated restaurants in PD, none of which really shone, when we heard that the chef from Nautilus had taken up a lease on the Surf Club... More

We lunched here twice. From the fish to the dumplings, it was all delicious. Add a stunning location and right on the beach and you have the perfect lunch. Thank you we'll be back.
