Description: Re-opening of an iconic Port Douglas pie shop which closed for some years recently. Was possibly the best known pie shop in Australia due to the unique meat pie filling recipe. Now re-opened by Nigel Quinn using the original and still secret pie filling recipe formulated by Mocka Cheyne and his mother Belle Cheyne. Visited Mocka's Pie shop, Port Douglas today with some relatives from USA. They had never tasted crocodile or kangaroo pies and were delighted with the product. If you're not into local fauna there are lots of other pies on the menu at a reasonable price, served on a plate with knife & fork, seated at an al fresco table...perfect lunchtime... More

This place is meant to be rated as an award winning pie shop and proudly advertises the fact.......give me a break. To be a good ol Aussie pie it must meet certain criteria. 1- it must have a good, tasty filling that isn't sloppy or runny. 2- it must hold together as you eat it and not have the top... More

We were wandering around town on a rainy day and came across Mocka's Pies and decided to give them a go. There was a good selection of flavors but we stuck with our favorite, steak and mushroom. It was delicious and we washed it down with a nice cappuccino and a good apple turn over with fresh cream. Would definitely... More

I had a plain steak pie which was amazing! My husband had a croc party pie and a kangaroo pie and he said they were both terrific! Highly recommend a pop in!

After being recommended by a friend back home we decided to stop by for some lunch. Husband likes trying different things so had the crocodile laksa pie - not a fan, although I believe it was just the irregular practice of eating a laksa this way! Also tried the kangaroo and the green curry which he said were lovely. I... More

They pride themselves on saying award winner but there is no competition with any other bakery $10 for a pie and a sausage roll that lacked flavour and were overcooked was disappointing. Would rather a frozen pie from Coles down the road.

Pies weren't as tasty as I thought they would be, although good customer service wouldn't go there again for a pie

A great little bakery offering loads of yummy goodies. Their product are great and their specialty pies are delicious. Want something different? Try a crocodile laksa pie, a kangaroo pie, a seafood pie with barramundi, prawns and scallops, a green curry pie or a tuna mornay pie! Yummo!
