Re-opening of an iconic Port Douglas pie shop which closed for some years recently. Was possibly the best known pie shop in Australia due to the unique meat pie filling recipe. Now re-opened by Nigel Quinn using the original and still secret pie filling recipe formulated by Mocka Cheyne and his mother Belle Cheyne. Best pies

Worth the search. Loved the meat pie and the big chunks of meat! Sausage rolls looked nice too. Must try!

This place is a bit of a local icon and with good reason. The pies we had (shepherds pie, been and pea and steak and kidney) were pretty good. The sausage roll was ordinary but then I have never been a fan of that genre. Service was a bit disorganised but good. There is plenty of seating outside. So a... More

I had one seafood pie and one tuna mornay pie and both were delicious , nice pastry and very ample filling. I thought there might not be much "seafood" but it was really good.

Mocka's pies are the best pies my husband and myself have ever eaten. They have a large variety to choose from and are made fresh every day. I am sad they don't have a store near my house in NSW.

A great selection of different pies from the Humble meat pie to something a bit different like a crocodile laksa pie. this place is so popular that there is usually a small queue waiting to purchase one of these delicious pie.

I came here with my family roughly 28 yrs ago so just had to come back :) I love my bakery products but love the traditional things so I can't comment on the 'kangaroo pie'. We ordered 3 x steak and mushroom, 1 x steak and bacon and hubby ordered a chilli one (I think) We also ordered 2 x... More

Sadly not the best pies I've ever tasted but their croissants are fantastic: flaky, buttery.. Everything you want a croissant to be.

Pies looked great but filling was pretty plain and lacked flavour. The curry, Thai green curry and mushroom were all bland and disappointing. For an award winning bakery we had hoped for better.

This bakery makes exceptional pies and apple turnovers. The employees are friendly. Good lunch option

Try a crocodile or kangaroo lunch pie or something a little more traditional like a chicken pie. I had one for lunch and the crust was light and flaky and the filling was delicious. Wish I had room for more. Very nice outside seating with friendly staff and clean surroundings.
