Re-opening of an iconic Port Douglas pie shop which closed for some years recently. Was possibly the best known pie shop in Australia due to the unique meat pie filling recipe. Now re-opened by Nigel Quinn using the original and still secret pie filling recipe formulated by Mocka Cheyne and his mother Belle Cheyne. If you are a pie connoisseur then this iconic and extremely popular shop will not fail to satisfy. They have a variety of pies along with other foods and cakes for a light lunch, and always fresh. Don't miss out if you are in the area

We had pies from a few locations in Port Douglas and Mossman and found Mocka's to be our favorite. The pies were piping hot, lots of chunky meat in the filling, great pastry and tasty enough for us to return twice. My favorite was the Beef Curry, Crocodile, and Regular Meat pie. Great spot for lunch and you can take... More

Stop by this little take away shop to try authentic tasting meat pies. We tried the crocodile and kangaroo as well as chicken and beef. All were very different and tasty. Mocka's also offers sweet pastries if you aren't interested in meat pies.

OK, we have eaten in the best restaurants in Port Douglas. I hate to admit, that I love the Seafood Pie so much I'd happily eat one every day and forget going out! Delicious.

I have the steak and kidney pie, not the best, the meat was mince and to much pastry. At $5.50 not to good value for money, returned home and bought one at the local shop, $4.50 and it was much better pie. Nevertheless, the shop appears to do a good trade, so maybe the other pies are of a better... More

Great range of tasty baked goods. Service was very quick during the busy lunchtime rush. Dropped by a few times during our stay in Pt D. Always yummy.

You can't make up you mind as to which pie to choose, I'm sure they are all good. We had a couple of different ones while we were here and they were all great. So if you can't choose, go back another day.
