Solid pub style food, best to stick to the seafood (peel your own prawns are usually good and the fish and chips really good) but there is no better place to have a drink or two and enjoy the fact that you are in tropical paradise.

Just order the Bucket of Prawns, you won't be disappointed. Get there around 5 to get a table before sunset. It's busy, it's noisy, but there is a reason, it's just a brilliant experience. We gave up on the 5 star restaurants and ate here for the last three night of our stay.

Great food with Mat keeping us entertained. 8 of us sat on the veranda over looking the water. We all had seafood and everyone enjoyed the night. Cost including drinks was reasonable

Went for dinner, great location, fantastic views. Need to book ahead and reserve a table. Food was wonderful, full of flavour and good sized portions. Very family friendly but the noise can be a little loud. Service was great. Cheap drinks. Simple sign in as it is a club

The Tin Shed Restaurant in Port Douglas seems to be a local icon. Although its correct name is The Port Douglas & District Combined Clubs Inc., it is widely known by its wonderful name – The Tin Shed. It’s located slap bang on Dickson Inlet with a huge deck jutting out over the water. The water views stretching north as... More

We came here for dinner based on lonely planet recommendation under "drinking & entertainment". Perhaps we should just have a drink here. At night, there's no view; it would probably be nice during the day. We ordered BBQ pork ribs to share but it's probably my least favourite pork ribs of all time although it is very tender. Prices are... More

This is a great place to spend a few hours. Food is ok (pub style) but the draw is the great view over the harbour.

We visited the Tin Shed for dinner. It was jam packed full and very noisy. That could have been handled if the food was good - it wasn't great at all. the exception was the 'baked' whole baby barra which was great! the pork and steak dishes were very average indeed. the orders were confused and took ages to rectify.... Our first night in Port Douglas and I actually missed the place. I found the food to be OK and the staff friendly enough. There was a fair wait for our meal but the place was packed. I don't expect gourmet food at club type places but good honest tucker and this is what I got.
