Breakfast with a view

Tip toed our way through the renovations following the "we do breakfast" signs and we're not disappointed. As another reviewer states it is a simple affair , but well decorated and has spectacular views of the inlet and beyond. I had superb Eggs Benedict and my partner had a large fry up both... read more

This is a must do. Have a beverage and a meal, the view is amazing and its so relaxing just to unwind after a tour etc and soak it all in. The staff are lovely and the food is great. We had a seafood basket and it was yummy. We never got back to try the crocodile, prawn spring rolls... More

Set out over the inlet, this has a great view. Watch the reef boats coming back into port, and the fishermen heading out to sea. This is where Kochie reported on the recent Cyclone Nathan on Sunrise TV. We enjoyed a bucket of fresh prawns and a lovely wine watching the sunset. The food and ambiance were great. Orders are... This restaurant overlooks the river and is in a beautiful setting. The food was of good quality considering the price. There are no frills to this place, perhaps the best way to describe it is, is cheap and cheerful.

The deck was lovely to eat on, and it was great to see the boats all coming back to the marina at the end of the day. But the oysters were average, as was my husband's chicken parma (the salad with it was horrid). My marinara was great, with plenty of lovely seafood through it. A bit expensive for the... More

Barramundi did not say it was a fillet and it was the smallest piece of fish ever had and tasted very fishy. Partner had muscles and a third of them weren't open. Staff very friendly but I wasn't impressed with the meal.

We only had lunch at this place but must say, all positive. Whilst you have to go to the counter and order your meal, get your own drink and have to pay for these separate, the food came out very quickly and was perfect and the beer was extra cold.

We visited this place twice whilst in Port Douglas. Best location in Port Douglas - right at the edge of the water so great views from the port. Bar staff and waiters that served us were back packers and I have to say that they were exceptionally pleasant and friendly (don't know what a previous reviewer was on about to... More

Enjoyed an excellent meal at the Tin Shed. It is currently undergoing renovations but they do not infringe on the restaurant. The food is wholesome and well presented. Portion sizes are generous and they have a good variety of beers and wines. No frills service. Stay for an hour or three.

Great food, great location spoilt by belligerent pony tailed waiter who does not know the difference between aioli and tomato sauce and then abused us! We could even forgive them running out of buckets of prawns. Grab your backpack and move on old mate, you don't belong in the hospitality industry.
