Description: Harrisons Restaurant exists in a setting that is made for romance and fun....
Harrisons Restaurant exists in a setting that is made for romance and fun. The colonial style house and colourful gardens create a wonderful atmosphere for cocktails, romantic dinners and celebratory events. Food is skillfully created using produce that is always fresh and preferrably local. Spencer Patrick, owner of Harrisons, has navigated Harrisons as an award winning restaurant since it's inception in 2007. Harrisons has consistently held national accolades for it's food and wine and stands alone as Port Douglas' only One Hat rated restaurant in the QLD Good Food Guide. Spencer's style draws from his training in classic French cuisine and love for all things English. His belief is that good food can be enjoyed any where in the world, but what better place to enjoy it than in Paradise!

Great food

Great food and service. Will be going again. Sesame toasts as entree were the best! Done totally differently and brilliantly!

The meal to try is the Chef's Tasting menu at $150pp. Add a couple of bottles of good Australian wine @$65 each rather than the wine matching option simply because the matched wines were too heavily biased to whites. We tried booking at the very last minute and due to this week being probably the bottom of the off-season the... More

Friday night 29/01/2016. Balmy, cooling inlet breeze from the coral sea. Table overlooking St Mary's by the sea and the sugar wharf. What else could you ask for except for what we experienced. Attentive service without fault, water glasses never less than half full, mojitos that contained all the flavours you would expect, and then the food. Amuse Busch of... More

We happened to be in Port Douglas during a time when nearly every top-rating restaurant closes for a week or so for annual renovations and so we were left to simply head into town and see what was open. Somehow we missed Harrison's during our call around but we couldn't have been more pleased when we stumbled across it. The... More

When I initially saw the menu I was doubtful any food was worth that much money. But it turned out to be one of the best meals I've ever had. Faultless. Contemporary menu with little surprises when delivered to the table. Each dish looked too good to eat. Loved the nashi pear - order this!

The food was perfectly balanced and beautifully presented, staff were very hospitable, the only negatives would have to be a slightly small "wine by the glass" list and would of preferred a larger fillet in the barramundi and clam dish.

We payed 150 dollar per person, excluding drinks, for a meal on new years eve. It was THE WORST meal we've ever had. It took us an hour to get to the first course, which was little flakes of fish with chilli wrapped in a leaf. It is sad to say that this fish-leaf-thing was actually the best tasting course... More

It's different, fresh and staff are casual but very experienced. Great value for the experience we had.

The food was good but it took a long time to receive it. The bill took 20 minutes to get and another 15 to close with credit card. All the service people looked over worked and rushed. They need to hire more staff.
