Had superb meal here with my family on Saturday. Managed to be seated luckily without booking. The waitress was very nice and attentive, good sense of humour. The menu had such a good choice of interesting flavours and taste combinations, such as the scallops with gingerbread and sweetbreads- highly recommended! The beef cheeks were melt in the mouth perfect. Only... More

We stumbled across this place with reservation on a busy Saturday night and the waiter made sure he found a table for us. We ordered the lamb shoulder for 2 and it was absolutely delicious! And massive serving size. Highly recommend!

Received complimentary meal as part of package with one of the resorts, many phone calls and emails to make booking, finally a visit from the manager of the resort to make booking for ten couples. Was told too busy to return messages or emails. The night we were there only four other tables in use - might be why? Food was... More

We have just finished a lovely meal at our resort from Harrisons. Unfortunately I have a chest infection and could not go out to dinner. My husband went to the restaurant to explain, as this was part of a deal from staying at Hiscusis Resort and had been booked for our last night here. He arrived home with two entrees... More

Strangely, there aren't too many cities in Aust that boast 2 restaurants of this class side by side. We thought next door neighbour Salsa was a stand out until we wandered into Harrison's. The service, food & wine matches and ambience are capital city class. They won't thank us for promoting the care they showed to the meal for our... More

We always visit Harrisons when in Port Douglas and the food this time was just as good as usual. We shared the lamb which was delicious although there was enough for three people, delicious. Had a lovely bottle of wine, but could not fit in anything else. Service was impeccable, staff knowledgable and polite which is what you expect in... More

We started with pigs ears all salty and crisp, followed by smoked coral trout in local betel leaf and then some Hervey bay scallops with calamari and seaweed salad - divine. Ocean eight pilot gris. The kingfish was perfectly cooked with a crispy skin, octopus that melted with class and sweetcorn - heaven. The veal special looked amazing but we... More

I really wanted to rate Harrison's as "excellent". Have dined there on a number of occasions in the past couple of years, and have experienced what they are capable of. So, some context. This is a one-hat restaurant, placing it above all others for service, ambience, cleanliness, food, innovation and all the other thinks that set the top restaurants apart.... More
