Description: Harrisons Restaurant exists in a setting that is made for romance and fun...
Harrisons Restaurant exists in a setting that is made for romance and fun. The colonial style house and colourful gardens create a wonderful atmosphere for cocktails, romantic dinners and celebratory events. Food is skillfully created using produce that is always fresh and preferrably local. Spencer Patrick, owner of Harrisons, has navigated Harrisons as an award winning restaurant since it's inception in 2007. Harrisons has consistently held national accolades for it's food and wine and stands alone as Port Douglas' only One Hat rated restaurant in the QLD Good Food Guide. Spencer's style draws from his training in classic French cuisine and love for all things English. His belief is that good food can be enjoyed any where in the world, but what better place to enjoy it than in Paradise!

Great meal

We had a lovely meal and the atmosphere was great and the wait staff very attentive and friendly. They didn't have one of the wines we ordered and then offered a superior wine at the same price. One wine we thought was

We dined here for dinner on the 17th of April. Found the wait staff to be friendly and courteous but a little pompous. Meal was not to our liking , not a lot to it, a tomato salad I could do at home, steak was tough, overall we were a bit dissappointed, we went in with high expectations.

I took four of my work colleagues here for Lunch. Everyone at the table order something different and we where all blown away with the presentation and professionalism this place offers. Outstanding food served by a keen and knowledgeable host. Would have to be one of the best restaurants in Queensland. Recommended meals: Anything of the pickings plate. Lucas D

Although we hadn't booked and it was busy by the time we had had a cocktail at the bar they had sorted out a table for us at the front of the restaurant. This was ideal as it was very warm that night and we got a lovely breeze from the direction of the harbour. Our food was delicious and... More

Cannot rate this restaurant highly enough!! We experienced some of the best service we have ever had at this gorgeous restaurant. We had a table booked at Salsa next door but could not work out what the fuss was about so decided to look elsewhere when we came across Harrison's next door. My boyfriend is a chef and upon learning... More

We had been here twice in two years and loved it, but not this time. I don't go out for Pigs ears, beef cheeks, lamb neck or slow roasted lamb shoulder. I'm not paying the earth for pork belly either. Please please take this rubbish off the menu. We stood outside and checked the list for three nights but nothing... More

Perfect evening at Harrison's. Food was faultless, service was the best I've ever experienced in Australia (and I've been to lots of cities/towns). Front of house was amazing, goes the extra mile for everyone. Menu was fabulous, a must for people going to Port Douglas ++

This was our second visit and wow! They gave us a complimentary glass of champagne for being a return customer, referring heaps of people or maybe because it was our honeymoon. Either way it was fab. Money well spent. The wine list is affordable and great quality wine. Something there to match each dish. This is a must do in... More

This is a first class restaurant. I usually feel that restaurants in tourist areas are not that good because they feed a passing customer base, but not this one. The Maître d was welcoming and introduced us to the best waiter I have ever been looked after by. Nothing was too much trouble and he was very knowledgable. The food... More

The food tasted fantastic and the staff were friendly. However there was a bit of a wait and the portion sizes were a bit on the small side
