Delicious seafood pasta and partner had veal parmigiana, real veal !, not beef replacement . Considering that location is prime, right on the esplanade with ocean views, prices are what you would expect for location and food with good quality ingredients. Tiramisu dessert was the best I've had. A typical Trattoria, bustling, busy and great variety of pizza and pasta.... More

Ordered the calzone from the outset. Good attentive service, price I paid is what they advertised, not oily, filling, delicious. What is the problem? In and out in under 20mns Wed night at peak hour ie 7:30pm.

Typical tourist trap for oily, creamy disgusting food that most of australian think to be authentic italian. Please stop give your money away for such an unhealthy food.

we had the special of the night lobster with spaghetti and was supposed to be half a lobster..well it must have been a mini lobster because we managed a few morsels out of the whole dish and the rest was tomato sauce with spaghetti and the flavour was close to one of a can. we are regulars in this place... Always a tasty meal at Villa Romana, their seafood pizzas are great. Service is attentive without being overbearing. Recommended as one of the best dining experiences on the Cairns Esplanade

No matter how good the food is (and it is), you are left with a bitter taste when you spend most of the night just trying to get someone to take your order. The service is bad here and it puts you off returning.

Came down for lunch and we were invisible to staff when we first arrived. The service was slow and inattentive. Usually there is a maitre d' on the sidewalk luring in tourists. The food was nothing special, just average. The prices on the main menu located on the sidewalk do not resemble the prices on the menu or what you... More

A busy restaurant but then again all the ones on the Esplanade in Cairns are. Service was good and food was nice but not outstanding. Coffee was excellent. I would go again but wouldn't be top choice!

Today wasn't the best food you have had, but, how rude can one server be? I was at the register, bill on counter with my card, when a guy walked up behind me to pay. He got served first. Was I invisible, was the server blind? As locals, I would like you to know we won't be back. Yes,Cairns is... More

I wouldn't have gone here based on some of the reviews , however we passed by and had lunch here. The pasta was tasty and cooked perfectly. The steak melted in our mouths and the dessert was homemade. We must have been lucky as we had a great meal! Service was standard.
