This is defiantly worth getting out of the tourist area to go to. We went in the afternoon and the kitchen did not start serving until five, so we tried a few of their brewed beers. They were ok, but I would not go specifically for that. The food, once we ordered, was fantastic. One of our party... read more

A friend and I visited the Green Ant sfer some peoples recommendations. Having been enjoin mexico on many, many occasions, I love the style of food. I found this food although tasty, quite different to authentic mexican. The meals were very expensive and the drinks exorbitant. A margarita was $15 for about the size of a small glass of water.... This was the third time I've been and the third time I've been disappointed. We had a reservation for 8 for my birthday. It took an hour and a half for our food to arrive, and half the menu items were "sold out". This was at 7:30pm. The food is ridiculously overpriced, and not spectacular enough to justify the cost.... The place has a really awesome feel to it, the artwork on the walls gives the place a really cool style, the fajitas are the best I've ever had, 5* for sure.

Asked at the counter if they did takeaway, to which they replied yes. Waited half an hour for the food, and got no apologies - they were not busy. We ordered 2 chicken fajitas, which were supposed to come with cheese, guacamole, sour cream and salsa. We got home, and we're extremely disappointed to find we only received the wraps... More

We booked a table for 6 - arrived on time. We were seated promptly and we happily started to look over the menu. The waitstaff approached us and said the restaurants policy was to ID everyone. He said that even if we were only eating we needed to produce ID. As a 30 year old non drinker I politely asked... More

I have been living in Cairns for years now and have always had this on the list of places to try but for whatever reason never thought of it when we were going out. Last night we went here for a staff party and I was blown away by the level of service, the amazing food, and lovely selection from... More

I was recommended a visit here from the hostel I was staying in around the corner, and was promised a good backpacker menu. They weren't wrong! Although small, the backpacker menu is great value for money and super tasty. I made a return visit the next night since it was so close to my hostel and chose from the main... More

Went to this place on a Saturday night at about 6 pm. There is a great atmosphere and we sat on bean bags which was kind of cute, we ordered a jug of Margherita slushy which came out with our food. The drink was quite nice, $38 from memory. Not a bargain. We ordered beef nachos and wings which was... More

We decided to go to dinner one night, after coming home from work, we both decided that we felt like some Mexican. We really enjoy the atmosphere of this quirky little restaurant, the food is extremely fresh and we found our mid week meal very large. This night we both shared the baby back ribs, served with a lovely fresh... More
