If your in Cairns and want a wonderful dining experience then Bay Village Balinese would be one of my choices. They offer a plentiful range of options, but if you're in the mood I'd go with the 10-dish tasting platter, which is a bargain, and has all their signature dishes. Must must do!

I headed to the Balinese restaurant in the hotel that I had read was pretty good. Although I had to wait at the bar for a while speaking to the Czech bartender (all the staff seemed to be international) since I guess there were no tables open, eventually I was seated. My vegetables in peanut sauce were very good and... More

Great atmosphere and amazing food. Service is good - friendly and prompt. Fairly priced. Only down side is parking as it's near the hospital so spots are scarce.

From the moment we walked into the restaurant we were made welcome, unlike some other reviews which almost put us off. We had booked earlier in the afternoon as it was a Saturday. So glad we did, they were really popular and we can understand why. Starting with the delightful French/Colombian waiter, Santiago who was excellent. We chose their rijsttafel,... More

Waited forever for our meals only for them to arrive cold. When we eventually got our meals the food was blan and poorly presented. I would not recommend this restaurant.

A really good Balinese meal in very pleasant surroundings - the fish was particularly good. The service was excellent. A good range of dishes on the menu and a good wine list.

Lovely location and staff the food was average small serves for a huge price. A few items on the menu were not available, 2 of them were the reason we went. Wine expensive. Check the menu before you go.

The Bayleaf came highly recommended, and my partner and I were really looking forward to eating here. I see on TripAdvisor that many others have had great experiences. And I have to say -- the food and ambience was amazing. (With respect to the latter, it did get a little chilly outside as the evening went on, so if you'll... More

We were given the breakfast menu and then told by the waitress that it would be easier if ordered the contindental breakfast. We ordered bacon and poached eggs from menu and the yolks were hard and all you could taste was vinegar. The service was very slow and it seemed like the waitress didn't really want to be there. Very... More

We ate here 3 times in 5 days driving in from Trinity Beach. The food was delicious and the presentation stunning. We could not fault any of the 7 dishes we had over the 3 visits. It was very hard to choose but one favourite was the duck curry. They could up their game on meet and greet. We had... More
