Superb, authentic food, attentive service, sublime surrounds: Bayleaf has it all. And it's child-friendly. Highly recommended.

We wanted to go somewhere with decent service and no screens or crowds of backpackers. Although it was bustling Bayleaf Balinese was perfect. The seafood was cooked to perfection and the service was original and attractive.

We luckily were able to dine multiple times at the Bayleaf Balinese Restaurant since it is based out of the Bay Village Tropical Retreat. We had several buffet breakfasts before our tours in the morning, and 3 sit down dinners over two different stays at the hotel. The breakfast buffet is probably the closest to anything American that we saw... More

I have eaten here twice and each time I was very happy with the meals. On this occasion I was with my wife and mother and we made a snap decision to eat here. On arrival we were seated quickly and served promptly. We started the meal with a chicken soup which was delicious but not too spicy. We shared... More

My friend and I came across this place by chance and luckily got a free table. Mid week and the restaurant was almost full, always a good sign. The food was exceptional and great value for money and the service was really excellent.

I wasn't overly impressed by the standard of the meals. How hard is it to knock up a delicious Nasi Goreng dish. I live part of the year in Bali, so I maybe spoilt...but come on chef....get it together. Do you guys eat what you cook for you devoted customers..? If you need assistance borrow my balances chef from home... More

We were staying at the Bay Village Retreat and this restaurant is attached. Even before we got here we heard great things about the Bayleaf from the car hire company! We were not disappointed. The welcome was warm, the service spot-on, friendly, professional but not intrusive. The décor is understated but not bland, overall, the ambience is just right. Our... More

I visited Bayleaf for dinner last night with two good friends and having never eaten Balinese food before, was quite surprised at how tasty and mouthwatering it was. The flavour of the different curries was delicious and spicy and the aromatic smells made you want more, In fact, you don't realise how much you've eaten until its too late! The... More

I have visited Bali frequently, have always claimed the food is fantastic and have been to Balinese cooking school and outside of Bali this is the best Balinese restaurant. We took my much older parents who have not eaten Balinese and were a little apprehensive however they loved it and even requested we go for a second time. The food... More
