Surprisingly good!

Popped in here for a quick bite and what a surprise! Service was as friendly and efficient as you would expect but even better was the food. The daily special (grilled barramundi on this occasion) was cooked to perfection and served with fresh vegetables and a delectable sauce - not a lick left... read more

Claiming family connections from the 1950s at Lygon Street, Melbourne, this Italian restaurant is located opposite the Casino. You can either dine in indoor air-conditioning or in an outdoor verandah tropical setting. The menu has a typical offering of pasta, pizza, salads and suchlike with daily specials. Looking for a light meal I selected garlic bread and calamari. The garlic... More

Probably the worst pasta I have ever had. A heat up weight watchers pasta is better value for money and may even be better cooked. When you pay $24 for a pasta dish which consists of: pasta; chilli; bacon; tomatoes and oil you at least expect the meal to be filling. AVOID at all costs as cairns has no shortage... More

Situated adjacent to the Stamford Hotel in Cairns, this Italian restaurant was a joy to behold. The food was excellent, the seafood, the pasta and the veal were outstanding, The wine list was extensive and the servers were very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Cairns

Very nice food and all home made wife is the chef Piccolo runs the floor not the greatest table manners but remember you are only there for the good food. Once again I would suggest that you book otherwise he will get even more angry if that is possible.

We chose this restaurant for our last of 2 nights in Cairns, and it was a very bad experience. The pasta was not home made, the sauce was salty in the seafood pasta and my husband could not eat it. The atmosphere was totally lacking in ambience, and the decor was cold and uninviting. Although we did complain about the... More

Service was average, the food was average and the entire ambience, average. My pasta certainly was not hand-made as it says on the menu.

Terrible experience. Wrong food came out, one customer got his once everyone else had finished. Asked for medium steak, came out rare and barely cooked. Wait staff avoided our table continuously. Manager was wearing thongs. Possibly the rudest ever wait staff ever encountered. Avoid at all costs.

The Gnocchi melted in the mouth. Service was what you expect from a Family business. If you don't book, you sit outside, which does not bother me, but may others. Pizza was very good, very reasonable priced.
