Interesting

Nice place to taste typical food from Australia with a twist. They actually serve local and very peculiar products cooked and presented in a fusion way and you can actually read on the menu the explanation for every single local ingredient (berries, vegetables, fish, meat).A nice change from all... read more

This place stands head and shoulders above any other we tried in Cairns. Whoever designed the menu clearly loves and understands good food, using many native Australian plants and fruits to pair with perfectly cooked meats and fish. We started with kangaroo - rare, tender and delicious, and salt bush gnocchi bursting with flavour (gnocchi can be so bland). Then... More

We had a nice experience here. We came for the novelty of eating the tastes of australia plate, which was ok but not something to get super excited about. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Best australian food I had so far. We shared the australian antipasto platter with emu, crocodile, kangaroo and salmon. Couldn't say anything negative, everything was really really scrumptious. The price for a main size was $40 which is worth it for the quality. As a main dish I had the pumpkin gnocchi, delicious! The dessert was a dream, a platter... More

Very nice waitress (Marisa) served us on that night. We have the 3 course menu dinner which has good selection of local flavours. Very unique as well. The crispy pork was super amazing it's definitely the highlight of our dinner. Had the barramundi fish and twice cooked chicken supreme for mains, not too bad. Dessert we had pavlova (toooo sweet!)... More

The food here is better than most places I've been to in Cairns and its surrounding. I especially recommend the fried crocodile, it's the best I've had. If you are up for a little adventure, try the Australian plate as an appetizer, which contains emu, kangaroo tail, smoked crocodile and salmon. The wallaby steak entree was not bad, just a... More

Whilst on Holidays in November My husband and I had seen this Restaurant advertised on the TV in our apartment, we asked a few people and the response was positive so we thought we would give it a try. I am SO glad we did! We were seated by a young bubbly waitress who explained the specials and also a... More

Decided to go to Ochre for dinner. Booked and was met by a friendly Italian - his service was friendly, accommodating and really lovely. No other waiter looked our way offered us anything or checked in on us. Our Italian popped back from time to time to ensure we were ok. We shared the seafood tasting pate for entree which... More

After a rocky start of being told that I had not booked an inside table - I'd booked 3 days in advance to get an inside table in the air conditioning - we were miraculously provided with one after quite a heated conversation. But, apologies were proffered and we settled into our evening looking forward to an amazing dining experience.... More

Went for lunch over the Christmas holidays, no booking, and no problem getting a table mid week. Every time we travel the cairns we make sure we visit this spectacular restaurant. Four of us dined while my son slept in the pram. Hubby and I did the share platter (3 dishes with a side) - no issue with making a... More
