I was in Cairns for a conference and ended up in this pub after our official conference dinner had finished. We'd drunk in their a few nights before and it seemed like a perfectly, harmless average Irish pub. However, on this evening they held a swimsuit competition in which young women in bikinis and high heels were paraded along the... More

The pub offers a good deal with some of the hostels, where you can get a meal and a drink for $7. The food is good, it was just a little cold. The real let down was the bar staff! Once you order at the food counter you are given a receipt to take to the bar for your free... More

Top food (guiness pie!!), especially with the cheap deal staying at the Koala hostel! Incredible value. Quirky, cute, relatively comfortable. Good classic pub fare

Whether your using a voucher or not, PJ O'Brien provides terrific pub food with a drink at a bargain price under $20. Beef Pie, Chicken Schnitzel, Veal or 300g steak with salad, chips or mash potato - all worth it! Great way to meet new people - locals and backpackers, travelers.

We were optimistic when we saw the $13 meal deal including a pot of beer, and decided to give it a crack. Once inside it was very dark with a distinct aroma of stale beer from the night before - it was clearly more of an evening venue. We ordered chicken schnitzel burgers and Guinness pie, sadly the hot chips... More

Overall I had a very good night at this bar. There was a live band playing and good bar service. However, the tall bald bouncer was extremely rude. He was yelling at people to move inside when the patio closed, he was very condescending to my friends when they asked him a question, shoved his way through the crowds quite... More

Went with a large group from the hostel I was staying at and got a pub meal and small beer for $6.50 on Thursday special for my hostel. Opted for the burger and chips. Good pub food and great atmosphere. Returned the following night on a pub crawl. The bar nightlife can get a bit wild with bikini competitions turning... More

One of the best value lunches in Cairns with a range of choices from fish and chips, guiness pie, rump steak, raost beef etc etc which includes chips and salad or mashed potatoe and vegies. PJs is also one of the best night spots and they have entertainment several nights p/week such as the Coyote Dancers up on the bar,... More

The drinks prices here are good and the music is great so I would recommend going on that basis. The food however isn`t the best... Ordered as a table, half the food came out and people ate it while others waited for another 20 minutes, when that food came it had obviously been sitting for the 20 mins as it... More

Irish Atmosphere at it's best, indoor, out door eating, lots of backpackers, really cheap eats, fast turnover. $13 for a decent meal plus a beer or wine. Close to main Tourist area .Check out their website for the menu. Fast service. 4/5 from me 😊
