I love thai food and look around for authenticity! I chose to try here but was dissapointed, the porpia (spring rolls) were so pastry thick and floury due to thickness of the pastry. chicken and cashews: please dont put decorated carrot, brocolli and snow peas in it, that is not authentic, and please attempt to fry the cashews: not just... We have tried several Thai joints in Cairns but this is authentic, well priced and absolutely delicious everytime. It's that good that before other friends and family will put in orders for me to bring to them if they know I'm coming to visit. Friendly staff, great with kids and will do awesome vego options. If you want it Thai... More

A very tasty hidden gem! Spence Street (past Bunnings) wouldn't be the first place I'd look for an outstanding Thai but I am extremely glad I found it! The Thai Cafe is a basic but cozy 'restaurant eatery' with extremely friendly staff, a great casual atmosphere and some of the best Thai/Lao meals in Cairns. It's a dine in or... More

Came here for dinner with a good Laos friend who thought the food was just like back at Laos. The food was great , servings large and great friendly service. Definitely worth the trip out of town.

Good as you can expect from traditional thai restaurants. Expensive in my opinion though. It can also be the region, but in the big cities I pay about 2/3 the price

We've been having there for nearly 5 years on weekly base, they are the King!! We have cheated other Thai restaurant in cairns and cause big regret why didn't go to home base. Since then we have decided no more cheating!! They just do awesome work with such fresh foods!! As I have been working in same food industry, I... More

This little gem is about the food. The service is genuine and the flavours are amazing. Anyone who has travelled through Asia knows that food is presented differently and in different time frames. This cafe is well worth the visit.

We were a party of five but this review is based solely on my opinion. Firstly the clue is in the name ... Cafe .. not Restaurant ... and that is where the standard was based. Ordering was difficult - the menu (only one between five of us) listed all dishes but gave absolutely no clue as to what they... More
