We had several meals here over our stay and thoroughly enjoyed them all. The food was delicious, the beer was great and it was such a lovely place to kick back, relax and watch the world go by, just what you want on a holiday in Cairns. We had lunch, dinner and a late night beer and pretzel, all were... More

Very important !!!If you dont like it noisy sit outside!!! We haven`t been there for a long time because of living Interstate and were a bit shocked about the price rise over the years. We ordered the Bavarian Plate. It was for 2 people. ( $52) We were so disappointed. The Kassler was very thinly cut, more like a slice... More

Waited 1.5 hours for food that wasn't that great and barely saw/heard from waitress during that wait. Clearly way understaffed on every level because even ordering a drink at the bar took too long. Restaurant wasn't full so no excuse for such poor service!

Had dinner here with 2 German friends after a scuba diving trip to the Great Barrier Reef. It was a mixed experience. The food took over an hour to arrive! And we ordered schnitzels. When we asked the manager (after 30 minutes) about our order, he said: "It will take 45 minutes tonight, you're fortunate. It usually takes an hour".... More

We came upon this restuarant whilst looking for a place to eat on our first day of arrival in Cairns and were really glad we stopped here. The lady behind the bar was extremely helpful when it came to choosing a beer that we would like. We ordered our food and it came out quickly. We were that impressed by... More

Being local, we have enjoyed the Bavarian Beerhouse since its opening years ago. But now unfortunately, it became "mass production". Tasteless Sauerkraut, tasteless Blaukraut (red cabagge), crisp pork belly, so it says on the menu and should be, is anything but crisp.... and a main costs an avarage of $27.- to $30.- and + ! Feeling also sorry for the... More

Loved it here, great people and great atmosphere. You really get the feel for Bavaria even in sunny Cairns. Definatly recommend to anyone to pay a visit even if just for one drink!

We've eaten here last year which was great but things have clearly changed since then. The restaurant has turned more into a noisy beer hall and no table service which disappointed us to our previous time there. The food is good for that traditional german style food and recommend the bratwurst/kransky combo

Nice friendly atmosphere, loud and full of young travellers , so if you are looking for a quiet meal perhaps this is not the place. Otherwise cheerful environment, meals were big servings, there was a bit of a wait on the meals but perhaps the outside dinning area had many orders in at the same time. Frank the owner does... More

The food and beer was great but with 4 adults spending in excess of $100 on main meals it was very disappointing we had to pay another $4.50 for additional gravy..It left a bad taste in our mouths!
