Would not recommend the chocolate mud cake as I got this 57 dollar cake for my son 5th birthday and they handed me a burned cake which still lives in my fridge as it's not nice to eat nor is it for the price totally disappointed like they wouldn't of known it was burned. How rude for what they charge.

The SC&CS is a Grafton Street landmark. A great spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch. I particularly enjoyed their salads, melts and milk shakes, but everything looks and smells delicious.

We love the coffee here. We have had coffee in other cafes in Cairns and this is by far the best. The service is very friendly. We also ordered sandwiches for lunch which were very tasty.

The former owners, a Swiss couple sold the Business over a year ago. First I was a bit worried because an australian couple took over but you still can get beautiful german style cake, german bread rolls , although they could be a bit bigger for the price they charge. Piti they dont do rum balls anymore. When I am... More

If you want good coffee, great cake and honest simple good food then this is your place. Me and two girl friends came for lunch and stayed for 2 hours. It is lovely for a "girlfriend catch up lunch" or a "take your Nanna out" day or "work lunch." Prices are reasonable and they had great coffee.

They still make great tasting Danishes. Th coffee is okay but the bread and cakes are good. There are new owners who may need to improve their customer service.

They have a zero care factor & are just better off avoided in my opinion. I had a terrible experience & hope nobody else gets treated the way I did. Go somewhere else ...far far away

Thanks so much to the staff for all the help in providing an excellent birthday cake to my daughter while she was traveling out of the country. Not only was the cake wonderful but the delivery and the hospitality of the staff made her birthday celebration a surprise and wonderful. Thanks so much

I used to be a regular customer here and the staff were always lovely ... now you get some scabby faced emo teenager with a whole lot of attitude who wont even say hello, please thank you or even ask how they can help you... just look at you like "what the hell do you want" I don't think I...
