Worth the wait

Have seen great reviews about this place for a long time, and every time I came back home I seemed to miss out. Again I went and was not disappointed. Beautifully flavored dishes, just the right amount of heat and spice to make me leave wanting more. Great service and price. Keep up the good work!

I travel at least 75km just to eat at Ganbaranba with my partner! It is so amazing, there is nothing I could fault! Such a great little ramen shop. My only downfall is that I have to travel to have this! If I lived in Cairns I would eat here every week!

The staff are extremely friendly and are happy to help. The food was absolutely delicious and the servings are huge. If you can't eat all your food, you can easily put it in a takeaway bowl to eat later. Ganbaranba has the most amazing service that I've ever experienced.

Often a line up but tables turn over quickly. As good as Japan. In fact better than a lot of ramen places I have been to in Japan. Good atmosphere, great staff. Love the lunchtime special. B set is the best, your choice of ramen with a side of 5 gyoza cooked to perfection. Jug of cold mugicha (barley tea)... More

Ganbaranba was highly recommended by a friend. I've never been a fan of Japanese food but decided to try. WOW! I've been converted. Loved the food. Service was excellent and friendly. Had to wait for about 10 minutes before a table became available. It's obviously very popular. Cash only. Good value. It's small, noisy and  not an environment for a... More

I was recommended to this restaurant by a friend and I can see why. And there are plenty of Japanese eating here. Upside: great Japanese Ramen style food, service, value for money (around $10-$12 a meal), great gyoja (jaozi/dumplings), fast once you have a seat Downside: busy and you might have to wait 15-20 mins like we did, small One... Wonderful fresh ramen, great quick service and perfect price... not much more to say than that! Only potential negative is that it gets very busy and you may need to wait but it's worth it.

We stayed 5 days in Cairns and went two nights for dinner. Ramen is amazing!! Staff is really quick and nice. You need to wait as it's always crowed but food deserves it. Soup is outstanding. Don't forget to leave some soup in your plate and ask for Kaedama if still hungry!! Price is really good, considering the crazy prices... More

Lunch is over at 3 and they're closed until 5 or 6 to prepare for dinner, which we didn't know until we got there. We got there at about a quarter to, but they still let us come in. The place was empty at that time so we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Their lunch specials are a pretty... More

It's efficient table service and the price of the Japanese ramen is not too expensive. And then, I like the free cool tea the table aside.
