Stumbled on this place when looking for some good cheap food in cairns, much more tricky than you might expect! Super tasty stock base for their noodles. Attentive friendly service. Cheap and cheerful.

It's been 2 years since we have been here and I had real craving. Thus place did not dissapoint. The ramen is full off flavour and delicious. The gyoza is some of the best I have ever had the only change is they are now smaller. Not surprising since the prices have not changed. At lunch time they do a...

Food is great, manager is a nice lady, professionally run, not a big place and menu is small, is more like a food court, but is cheap and tastes great. BYO accepted, have good lunch specials, good Gyoza made to order
Without a doubt the best Japanese Soup in town, probably the best I've ever had.
This is the place we go to every week to check ourselves before we wreck ourselves. It brings everything back in sync. It sounds corny, but its true.
Perfect, very welcoming service, fantastic soup and a wide variety of it, perfect gyoza, free iced tea...

In Cairns again after 3 years and went right back to here for the ramen. Still great ramen. The "house special" (chicken+seafood) broth and pork broth we had were very tasty. $1.5 for extra serving of noodles is good value, so don't drink all the soup if you want to get extra noodles. The small Z-Don we ordered was pretty...

Amazing ramen...careful thought has gone into those broths. I loved the happy friendly atmospere of the place created by the staff. I also love that the dishes retain their japanese names and are accompanied with lengthy english explanations - it ads to the friendly atmosphere.
Fabulous and fresh gyozas made to order, and fantastic soups to match that can be ordered in set combos. Great flavours and traditional japenese flavours. Loved it and we go regularly and has always been a great experience, even quick if you are looking for a quick and tasty bite.
Went here based on TA reviews. Bustling place at lunch on a Thursday. Short wait to be seated. Ended up at the bar table.
Menu is extensive, all based on ramen noodles. Menu in both Japanese and English. Staff very welcoming (all Japanese) and cheerful.
Ordered ikamen ramen lunch special with gyoza side. Also ordered two teaspoons of chili paste...

I found this place by chance when walking back to YHA along Spence St. I didn't even realize that it got so many rave reviews in TripAdvisor. So it was really a pleasant surprise to find such high quality of food and service. I still think the "Coloseum" tag a bit strange, but who cares... as long as it's this...
