Yummy, Yummy, Yummy! Well priced, fast and friendly service, authentic TASTY Japanese noodles and Goyza. This place gets really busy and it's only a tiny restaurant - but don't give up, go early or just pop back every 10 minutes till a table comes available. Once you have a table the service is fast and your meal is out in... More

Small little restaurant with a line up out the front so you know its AMAZING! In saying that I have never had to wait to long for a table. Service is very fast, efficient and friendly. If you love big soup noodle bowls and gyoza then you will love this place. #14 on the main menu is my favourite!

Dropped into Ganbaranba for a quick lunch. Service was quick and staff, friendly. Seemed to be a lot of Pork dishes on the menu. I ordered the Gen-ten ($11.95, price as at AUG 2014) and gyozas 5 for $5. While I was waiting for the meal, the free iced tea went down really well. Service was super fast. I was... More

We have Ippudo and Manpuku in Sydney so it won't be fair to compare. The soup was ok but a little too watery, lacking the heavy porky flavour. Their gyoza was ok but the fillings were dry-ish without any broth left.

Funny that this place seems to get such dirvergent reviews, either raves or hatred. We got to Cairns and randomly found this place. We didn't have super high expectations but the food was pretty good (extremely salty though) and pretty reasonably priced. It isn't the greatest Japanese food I've ever had but it was much better than most. For a... More

Buzzing little Japanese eatery where a warm welcome is provided by Japanese staff who clearly enjoy serving you. The food, atmosphere and value are matching the service level. Open lunch & dinner it s a great little spot to enjoy the best ramen in FNQ. My favourite are the Ikemen with hard noodles, gyoza, giga bakudan salad which is always... More

Consistently my first choice on every visit to Cairns, the team at Ganbaranba continue to offer outstanding service and authentic Ramen at a great price. Sadly I am yet to find a restaurant or cafe anywhere else in Cairns that comes close. However my latest find is a cold little bottle shop around the corner who sell cool cans of... More

Good review from others and thought worth a try on my first night at cairns. The menu looks good and ordered the sunrise. Overall is average. Soup base, meat and noodle are average. Portion is a bit smaller than expected.
