My first time at the Continental Cafe was so far beyond my expectations it's hard to describe how amazing the food really is! Don't let the location or exterior put you off, the food is to die for! We had the lambs brains for our entree and were immediately in love with this place. I have never tasted anything like... More

Have been coming here for years fairly regularly. The quality of the service and food is always reliably good. Recently very much enjoyed the Coq au Vin and Tarte Tartin.

Continental Cafe is an old haunt of ours that we have neglected for a while. We revisited recently and were quite disappointed. The room is the same and the service was friendly and attentive but the food was ordinary. My wife had lambs fry which was dry and unappetising. I had pork neck, also dry and uninteresting. This is a... More

Four of us went for dinner for my son's 21st recently. The food is delicious, comfort food. Portions are large, so only one of us managed to have room for desert, which was a shame as the deserts are excellent. Two of us had the liver and bacon, it was really tasty, lovely gravy and mash potatoes. Perfect. Husband had... More

What a delight it is to return to a place that you haven't been for a while and find it as good as or even better than remembered. Such a treat. A cold Friday evening after some great fun comedy at Powerhouse, we dropped by on spec and were lucky to get a table. We were much in need of... More

For months I agonised over where to go for our five year anniversary. Our entree of bread never arrived, so we were just brought our mains. I ordered steak whch was more like a pub rump that I didn't enjoy at all. My duck fat chips were unedible. My partner's pasta dish was alot nicer. We ordered desserts which were... More

Continental Café is great value for money. The food is excellent and the wines are reasonable whether by the glass or the bottle. When dining out these days one needs to feel that you are getting value and this Restaurant delivers every time. The menu is diverse and should meet everyone's needs. Parking is not a problem usually finding off... More

I have been to this restaurant a number of times over the past years and always find it to have great food and very good wine selection, including a number available by the glass. Staff are very friendly. There are good gluten free options and the kitchen staff were most accommodating in changing their dishes to cater for dietary requirements.... More

The Continental Consistently good - 1 week, 1 month, or 1 year order the same and you will get the same Under the same ownership for a number of years the quality standard has been maintained. The duck dish which consists of duck being presented 3 ways is amazing and being so good is the only dish I can coronet... More
