So after having superb Yum Cha on Friday at Beijing House, and excellent Dumplings and Soup at New Shanghai on Saturday - see my reviews of those establishments, if you like - we headed off to Fortitude Valley and Chinatown for Sunday Yum Cha at King of Kings. We got there around 1100, and were sat right away by a... More

Terribly disappointed the food was dreadful and this restaurant has put my family off Yum Cha for a long while to come. I am normally a fan! It was our last meal together before my family left Queensland. Our whole party felt unwell after eating here. We were brought the wrong orders and unfortunately most of the staff don't have... The restaurant has lost its WOW factor, they seem to rely on previous reputation. Not surprising it was not so busy on Sunday for lunch. Food is good but not as it was years gone by. I was disappointed that the first timers did not get the full experience of great food variety and good service. We enjoyed are meal... More

This restaurant is large and very busy. Fortunately there is no background music because the noise of a couple of hundred people talking provides enough background noise. The food is good value for money for a large group celebration. The service is fairly fast but there is nothing refined about it - waiters bring steel trolleys to deliver meals and... More

For many years this was one of the best restaurants in Brisbane for Chinese food and/or Yum Cha. Now?, well it's disappointing to say the least. Very little choice and what there is, is either experimental or second rate. The atmosphere is dull and un-interesting and the staff have a 'couldn't care less' attitude, unlike the past where the youngsters,... More

Don't get me wrong it is good, just not very good. We always enjoy Yum Cha at King of Kings, it is the only one we go to having tried a couple of others. It used to be a wilder experience when Leslie was in charge, it was entertainment.

This is a Chinese restaurant in China town. Local people come here for Yum cha. We had course dinner here. Especially liked Moreton bay bug fried salty with garlic. The ground floor looked local and the 1st floor is rather formal with round table with red carpet.

First night in Brisbane and had no idea where to go! Took a walk to Chinatown and wasn't impressed with a lot that we saw, but we came across the King of Kings restaurant offering evening Yum Cha and thought we'd give this a try. Heading up the stairs, the restaurant is a bit garish, but when we got to... More
