Always good food

I love the $49pp banquet at this place, especially the Peking duck pancakes followed by the duck San Choy Bow - then sensational scallops to name a few dishes but you a need minimum 4 people. Instead we ordered deboned roast duck with plum sauce and peppered bugs. We got two medium to large bugs... read more

I'm really not understanding what the recent review are about. I love this place and go there once or twice a year when in Brisbane. After reading the reviews we skipped it for a near by Thai place, which was closed, so feeling a bit nervous we did King of Kings again. Same manager/owner was there but all different staff,... We had a wee hunt around for a good Yum Cha while in Brisbane and headed for king of kings. Unfortunately the meal didn't live up to the name. Cold, bland and greasy comes to mind. Surely there are far better options in Brisbane- please let me know when you find it!!

This is a place i first discovered 15yrs ago. It continues to have excellent yum cha. It's food is great. However something has happened to its customer service. It was a shocker on my last visit. Slow almost painful service as if they didn't have enough staff on the floor beside the girls pushing the trolleys. I'll think carefully before... More

Poor service, cold food (which should be hot) and expensive prices. We have been going here for quite awhile and it has been continually going downhill. We will be looking for a better alternative from now on as it just isn't worth going here anymore.

We have been to this restaurant many times over the years and its always good. On this occasion, we took our grandson who was visiting from NZ - and went early so the service was excellent. They offer a wide variety of dishes for yum cha. The deep fried pork dumplings are especially good - as are the custard tarts... More

came to Brisbane for the weekend and was craving Yum Cha. Friends recommended and they were right to do so! Very authentic and fabulous! Will be back on my next visit!

Visited here prior to a show . Service was shocking , got water at end of meal. Other drinks just didn't arrive . But most of all the food was inedible, awful greasy sloppy food . After watching other tables , other diners had the same opinions , lots of food left uneaten . Very noisy venue , many large... More

So after having superb Yum Cha on Friday at Beijing House, and excellent Dumplings and Soup at New Shanghai on Saturday - see my reviews of those establishments, if you like - we headed off to Fortitude Valley and Chinatown for Sunday Yum Cha at King of Kings. We got there around 1100, and were sat right away by a... More
