Beautiful historic restaurant backed by the Treasury Casino - you would think the food would be impeccable with excellent service -WRONT!!! Booked a table for 10 persons on 23/12/14 and on arrival only about 10 to 20 persons present. Took an hour to receive breakfast after numerous inquiries with response 'meals should arrive soon'. I had full breakfast with burnt... More

Amazing venue, lovely staff and beautiful food - nothing can compare! I will be recommending The Lab to all my friends and family and will be back again in the near future. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Having exhausted many of Brisbane’s other high end restaurants throughout the year, my wife and I decided to revisit Lab Bar and Restaurant for our weekly date night recently. We were pleased to learn that the menu had recently undergone a refresh and now contained a wealth of sensational offerings from scallops with peach puree to veal and venison with... More

Had to wait for ages for food to be delivered. The food, when served was warm or cold. The waiter continually made apologies for the delay in plating. My previous visits in 2013 and 2014 were fantastic....vibrant staff...quick service...great food. My experience last week was verging on dreadful.

we were looking for an up market restaurant in the CBD for an anniversary dinner. I used Google to look for a list of top Brisbane restaurants and came across the Lab bar. we booked a table for two that afternoon and attended at 7:30pm for dinner, as we walked in we were immediately greeted by the maitre d and... I went with my sister, daughter and nieces for a 'ladies only' afternoon. We loved the venue and the ambiance, but I was not all that impressed with the food. It was also fairly slow in coming and though we'd booked, people at another table who had arrived after us, were served first. Bubbly was an extra $12 per glass... More

Eating here is as beautiful as staying in the motel. Breakfast lunch or dinner all delightfully delicious!

Attended this restaurant today to have high tea with a friend celebrating her birthday. We were sadly disappointed. I have enjoyed high tea at many different places over the years and this one one was not one of the best. Whilst the food was quite nice, the presentation was lacking as was the impersonal table service. We will not be... More

Dined here on a Friday night and it was everything that was expected... maybe more! Entree and main were impeccable, couldn't fit desert! Highly recommended, world class chefs at this place.

The lovely staff got us in and out within one hour so we wouldn't miss our show at QPAC. We had two mains and two desserts. I had the pork assiette, which was delicious. My husband had the venison - it was great that they asked him how he would like it cooked. For dessert I had the mousse, lovely... More
